A belly sleeper. His bed is positioned to where he can see the door to make up for the limited line of sight and motion. Likewise, the coat stays on so if need be, he can immediately go on the defensive before quickly switching to offense.
It takes a while for him to fall asleep after he lays down and probably wakes up several times throughout the night regardless of the presence or abscence of noise. Though, he's absolutely awake and alert if there is, and god help anyone who wakes him up without a legitmate reason. It's usually Jabber being loud af which results in impromptu... training.
It's doubtful that he gets enough sleep between being the boss (thus his work never truly ends), being a workaholic outside of his position, and the hypervigilance. While not as frequent as they used to be, he probably still has PTSD driven nightmares after a particularly awful day.
I think people are joking when they say Zodyl doesn't shower or wash the coat. I hope. But they are super fast, 5 minutes max, cheap 3 in 1 gel King. Possibly skips days since it is a risk. Plus I imagine water conservation and rationing is a big thing on the Ground. He wouldn't want to "waste" resources.
I can't tell if he'd barricade his door or not. There's a permanent order for Raiders to stay away from his personal quarters. I imagine he's not completely helpless and knows hand to hand combat. He's far too tall and broad to be weak. I just don't know if his symptoms would be severe enough for that, or if he'd consider going that far a display of weakness (even if he'd want to).
Bird baths on his off days. Fills the sink then quickly wipes down with one cloth and uses another to dry. Uses less water. Doesn't have to fully remove his Jinki (one arm stays in and then he switches over).
Guns may be rare, but I think it's reasonable to believe Zodyl has one and is at least halfway proficent with it. Nothing big, nothing fancy, just a simple handgun that stays in his room. Safety on. Always fully loaded. Ready.
Very, very few of his subordinates know he has it. Maybe only Cthoni.
It probably only comes out of his bedside table when he goes to shower or wash the coat. Then it's strapped to his side until he can wear his Jinki again.
Worse comes to worst, he'll wear the coat when he's wet and/or it is. Most of the Raiders, including the best ones, are loyal. They wouldn't dare. All he has to do is give the order and they'd come to his aid against an intruder. He has a gun in arm's reach. He can fight.
