Work Text:
Anaxa rests his head onto the table, trying to ease his aching head to no avail.
The man is currently in an office party, unable to escape after his boss had practically trapped him in since the business' success this time is thanks to him. Coworkers cheered and clapped, which he thought was unnecessary. He was only doing his job, after all.
They poured him drink after drink, way past his limit on what he could tolerate. Thankfully the party had died down, somewhat.
His drunken mind drifts itself onto Sunday, his wonderful husband. The love of his life and the other half of his soul.
He unconsciously giggled, thinking of Sunday's soft smile from this morning before he went to work. He looked so adorable with that dromas apron, giving him a peck on his lips before bidding him farewell.
Anaxa wants to see him again, soon, no scratch that–right now.
The party is already over, right? It's not like he needed his work to be celebrated over anyways. Let him go. Like, right now. He needs to kiss Sunday and tell him how much he loves him.
Before he knows it, he's already on the front door of their shared home, being held up by one of his few sober coworker who gave him a ride home.
The door opens, and his angel appears. Sunday looks a little bewildered, wings flaring up in surprise at the sight of a drunk Anaxa.
"Aaaangeeeell~..." Anaxa purred, instantly stumbling towards Sunday and pulled him into a hug. "My love, how I've missed you so..."
Anaxa briefly heard some conversation being exchanged before his coworker left, leaving the couple alone on their space.
"Anaxagoras, dear." His angel lifts a hand to caress his cheek, which he nuzzled into. "They must've gone too far, it seems. I rarely see you be so drunk like this."
Anaxa hears, but he isn't registering. Only thing he cares about is Sunday's attention on him.
"My angel, has anyone ever told you that you're very lovely?" Anaxa placed a tender kiss onto the other's palm, cheeks flush ablaze from the alcohol.
Sunday chuckled at his antics. "What a silly thing to ask. You would remind me everyday without fail."
Anaxa smiled wider. He seems proud of doing a good job on loving his partner.
"Now let's get you some water. You are as drunk as an owl right now."
Sunday leads him deeper into the house and Anaxa doesn't hesitate to follow, resting his head on the other's shoulder.
He's going to have a killer headache tomorrow, going to hiss from the pain, but he's sure that Sunday will accompany him through it.
Thinking about it makes Anaxa feel even warmer inside, so he stole a deep kiss from Sunday.
Sunday just sighed and indulges him with a smile.
