Assimilation nudged its face into Vitriolic's neck; nuzzling into the soft red fur as it hugged her tightly.
"Your fur is quite nice, Vitri."
Usually she would push the entity away whenever it got to close, but this was different. She let her body relax against the entity. Wrapping her arms around them too. Thinking about what led her to being all buddy buddy with a weird cyclops entity.
If it was any other entity, she would've shot it on sight.
But Assimilation was different. They were much more human than any entity Vitriolic has heard of or seen before. They of course looked like a normal entity, but they were nice, and honestly seemed more like a sad puppy when Vitriolic first met them.
She remembered when she first found it in her world. She almost shot it right then and there, but it pleaded with her. It was searching for someone called "Andre." But Assimilation didn't know where he was, and didn't have much power. Vitriolic figured that she could maybe get Assimilation to shoo the other entity in her world away. So she let it stay.
It would stay in her house, in the basement. They never caused much trouble, (which Vitriolic was very glad for) and usually would go out for long periods of time to go search for Andre. Each time coming back unsuccessful and melancholy.
Vitriolic was beyond surprised when she first saw the entity come back so sad. She'd honestly kinda forget about them until she realized that the entity was basically her roommate now.
Vitri didn't talk. Well technically she could but she didn't want to most of the time. So she was never good at comforting people. But it seemed all Assimilation needed was someone nearby, someone who wouldn't leave them. After a little bit of venting, the entity always felt better. Atleast Vitriolic was a good listener.
She remembered how they had grown closer. The entity commonly going with her when she went to get materials. Also being able to "assimilate" those weird pigs in her world. It was very useful at that. She appreciated it greatly, just didn't know how to show it.
One day, she got the brilliant idea to give it a gift. She decided that gift would be flowers, because she didn't know if Assimilation would appreciate a gun very much. She went out searching alone, as to not spoil the surprise for the entity.
She could tell it looked a little worried when she went out by herself. But shes strong enough to not let that sad little pathetic down turned eye trick her into letting it come along.
She had to travel a bit to find a flower forest, swamp, and a plains biome for sunflowers. She wanted to get Assimilation atleast one of every flower.
She gathered a few and headed back home, hiding the flowers in her inventory so the entity wouldn't find it while looking through her chests.
When she did get all of them, she installed a mod that would allow her to wrap her gift. Then told Assimilation to meet her at their favorite spot. A sky island slightly higher than her base. A incredible view of all the smaller islands below.
There she gave it the gift, and thats how she ended up in this situation. Arms wrapped around a eldritch entity while it shoves it face in her fur. She could feel herself blush.
"Thank you again, Vitri." It said a final time before pulling away.
She nodded, looking toward her boots instead of making eye contact. Assimilation noticed, and put a hand to her chin. Lifting her head up to look at them.
"Is something wrong, Vitri?"
The entity persuaded, looking worringly at her. She felt the need to say what was stuck in her throat, to express what was trapped in her heart.
"I love you."
She whispered softly, so quiet if any other sound happened at that moment you wouldn't be able to hear it.
"I.
…
I love you too, Vitri."
She was expecting the entity to let go of her, run away and never come back. But it didn't.
She thought she hallucinated for a second. But the entity was still there, still holding her chin. Looking at her with a blank expression. She gave the entity a hug this time. It hugged back.
"Vitri, its scary to think I may never find Andre again, but atleast I'll have you, Vitriolic."
She couldn't believe she was confessing her love to a minecraft entity and giving it a hug. It's funny to think about how the only person who loved her back was a eldritch horror. She didn't remember when she started crying.
"Vitri?"
The entity looked back at her as she tried to dig herself deeper into the entitys shoulder.
"Do you want to go home, Vitri?"
She nodded, and the entity teleported both of them to her bed.
