She rages.
She paces and screams and howls, cursing Kayne with every furious breath. Cursing the Manager, for putting her in such a spot. Edward William Allan, for being the stupid fucking human that he was- one task! One simple, straightforward, impossible to fuck up task!
Her own father, for dying. For being a fucking god- and still, in the end, being mortal enough for Kayne to rip out his heart.
But when all her cries are exhausted, when she crumples to the ground of whatever space she now lives in, the first sobs wrench from her chest with a fury of their own.
The darkness presses in on her.
It is over two hundred years before her favorite opens the door.
