Parent teacher conference. Asgore had called Toriel before-hand and had taken Kris to this stupid event just for some bonding. Asgore and Rudy have been seeing each other for a little bit now, and most people in their publicity circle knew. Including the kids obviously! Fortunately, Rudy was also there taking Noelle to her parent teacher meeting or whatever. Asgore walked into the classroom with about four more students and their parents. Seeing Rudy made Asgore smile and his heart start to burn... Rudy waved to Asgore and smiled back, chuckling slightly. Asgore walked over, grinning like a freak while Kris and Susie walked into the hall. They don't care about their grades, unlike Noelle and Berdly. The deer and boss-monster chatted it up, catching up about kids, business, flowers, trucks, back to kids, the dad stuff. At one point, Asgore invites Noelle and Rudy out to Qc’s for dinner, on him. Rudy accepts and pats him on the shoulder, which seems like a bro thing, but the way he squeezed his shoulder had a really sexual innuendo to it, making Asgore blush. The meeting with that stupid ass yellow dinosaur ended pretty quickly because well, they were NOT listening. Asgore and Rudy walk out behind Noelle, looking for Kris so that they can go eat. They walk from the hallway, susie following behind. Kris waves bye to susie and begins walking out with the four. Kris looks up at Asgore and asks about Rudy and Noelle. Asgore explains that the four of them are gonna go eat at Qc’s diner together and they nod giving Asgore a thumbs up and jump into the blue truck. Asgore makes sure that his truck is following close behind Rudy's car or something idk what he drives. They pull up and park in the parking lot obviously, where else are they gonna park. Kris jumps out and walks with Noelle into Qc’s while the dads slowly trail behind. They find themselves really chatting a lot recently. I mean, they HAVE been hooking up but like this is like fluffier stuff, the stuff that Asgore really wants in a relationship and hasn't had since his early years with Toriel. Asgore has a familiar dorky smile on his face, something from their college years. They enter the diner and get themselves seated before the waitress comes up to take their orders of drinks while they browse the menu. Rudy gets a sweet tea, Noelle gets a cup of water, but then later orders a pink lemonade. Kris orders a coke, and Asgore orders a Pepsi. The four are just generally talking with each other about stuff that's going on. Noelle seems kind of nervous, but she just does that she's weird ok leave her alone. The drinks come and the waitress takes their orders. Asgore and Rudy are now kind of just talking about their own thing while Kris and Noelle mess around with the kids menu Rudy got them to tease the two. Asgore goes into the plans for later tonight about dropping Kris off back at Tori’s house and really having nothing else to do for the night. Rudy asked if he could maybe drop by and they could just hang out. Asgore agrees to it and chuckles slightly. The waitress brings out the food and Kris immediately starts grubbing like they haven't eaten anything all day, or like they were doing something that drained their energy. Asgore chuckles and tells them to slow down and that makes Kris laugh slightly, still stuffing their face with fries and shit. Rudy also starts demolishing his food, still looking absolutely handsome to Asgore in his fucked up and twisted mind. They all finish their food, but the kids want dessert, so Asgore orders the dessert and pays. Asgore texts Tori that they’re gonna be on their way in a couple of minutes and adds some smiley emojis and she just responds with a thumbs up reaction to his text. Even though Asgore is like basically dating Rudy, he’s still sometimes disappointed that Toriel is fully moved on from him. He sighs and puts his phone back in his pocket, laying his hands on the table, watching Kris battle Noelle’s fork away from the slice of cheese cake they were sharing. He chuckles and looks at Rudy, his sad, tired eyes now pooling full of endearment as he watches the Deer read the deals for this place on the little advertisements on the tables that they have sometimes. The two kids put the plate on the stack of plates, utensils and cups before jumping out of the seat and leaving the diner. Rudy winked at Asgore before getting into his car and driving back home. Asgore got into the truck and giggled, making Kris give him this really confused and weirded out and just concerned look. Asgore drove Kris back to Toriel’s house, dropping them off at the front door before driving back to Flower King and sitting on his mattress.
He hears a knock on the door and walks down, slightly dazed by the tiredness coming over him. He opens the door and sees Rudy, making his heart burn again. I swear it's either Rudy’s fault or Asgore is one more encounter with this deer to death. He lets him in and they walk upstairs and sit on the mattress. Rudy looks over at Asgore and his hand finds itself rubbing his cheek. Asgore’s hand is clenching the blanket though. Rudy gets up and tells him that he’ll be right back and is going to ‘sans real quick for something to drink, Asgore nods and smiles, sighing and going back onto his phone, scrolling back to messages from years ago with Toriel. The constant “i love you”s and the pictures together, the pictures of the family, her happy smile, his grand grin at the beach with the four. He groans and powers his phone off for the night. Rudy comes back with a case of beers and sets it down on the floor in front of Asgore’s makeshift bed on the floor. Rudy grabs two cans and hands one to Asgore. One becomes three, and three becomes six, and six turns into sex. After the intimate moment the two shared, they re-clothed and laid on the mattress, staring at the ceiling. Asgore turns over to Rudy and starts talking about this supposed to be deep quote he saw on this stupid app. Rudy finds it interesting and they’re talking for a little, the subjects getting deeper and darker with each transition word. The subjects go from one thing to another and somehow Asgore reveals that he remembers running over December while he was drunk driving one time. Rudy sits up and shakes his head. He can't believe what he just heard and his eyes widen as it registers. Asgore also sits up and Rudy starts cursing him out, his eyes moistening and his voice crumbling as he really pictures it. Asogre tries to calm him down but really, what can you do in this situation?? You ran over your best friend of multiple years and now boyfriend kind of’s daughter and kept it from him for YEARS!! Rudy gets up and leaves the building with Asgore following him like an abandoned puppy. Despite his protests, Rudy leaves, and despite his own sensibility, he drives under the influence back home. Thankfully, nothing and no one were left physically harmed, but oh man do they both hurt.
Asgore sees Rudy at the lake and approaches him. Rudy sighs and walks away. Asgore tries to talk to him, attempting to sooth Rudy, but that seemed to trigger Rudy even more and he explodes at Asgore about him killing his daughter. He debates turning Asgore into the police, but sits on it until he makes up his mind. Rudy spent years wondering where his daughter went, years worrying and years comforting his wife and youngest daughter, reassuring them about the Dreemurrs because the four have known each other since college. What wrong can they do??? A lot. He goes home and lies in bed, silently sobbing into his pillow. He really isn't a sensitive person, but this is really hard to not react to. He sucked most of it up when the news was broken that she was lost for good, but this? Rudy was pretty sure he had found someone to truly make him happy, because he knows that person isn't Carol, but now, he was lost. He couldn't tell Noelle, because she wouldn't trust Kris after that, but he isn't sure how to handle this! He lays in bed, staring at the ceiling and his breathing slowed, but it was still unsteady. Eventually, he falls asleep, but it's already 12:25. He wakes up at 10:32 am and walks into the kitchen, Noelle making herself some eggs and toast with a cup of orange juice. She waves at Rudy and smiles the same smile that Carol and December had. He walks up to her and hugs her, squeezing her and a tear rolling down his cheek and onto her pajama shirt. She asks if he’s ok, and he answers her by telling her of course he’s fine, but he feels his memories of December slightly fading away. Most of it because of age, but the new news made him question everything. He pours himself a cup of coffee and sits at the dining room table, sipping on it as he sighs between drinks. He feels his phone buzz and he picks it up. A text from Asgore appears on his screen and he can't just not answer it, so he opens it. Asgore is trying to apologize for what he did, but Rudy can't accept it. He grunts as he puts his coffee down on the table and types out three simple words “We’re done, Asgore.”, and blocks Asgore's number.
