Chapter Text
It would have been a VERY mundane and dull day in the city, any normal sound you would hear would be covered up by cars driving, people on their phones, and the occasional argument or two over something stupid. but a brown-haired woman with glasses, and a green coat would be zoning out all of the crowded noises in an alley by smoking a cigarette, she always felt guilty doing so, before her “New life” she’s attended several rehab sessions, but she never got over the habit, she enjoyed the feeling of drowning out all the objectively bad things she does by smoking it away, and then going back to being her confident and happy self, it’s what made people like her, what made her CREW like her: Her personality.
After their first hit about… a year ago by now, it was supposed to be a one time job, everyone gets aliases, nobody knows each other or rats on anyone if they’re caught, the usual bank job for anyone that well… does bank robberies. But even after barely no one knew each other, they managed to form a bond, and on the ride there, and the ride back after the adrenaline heist that was robbing a bank, it made it seem like this was a friend group rather than some soulless sociopathic criminals, so they decided to stick together, which seemed like a very responsible and worthwhile decision, they’re still going strong, and the Feds still want them.
The woman finally got over her thinking session, took the cigarette from her mouth with her index and middle finger, and stomped it out, as she was about to leave, she got a text from a fairly old phone she had, opening it, the phone had the name “Jade” as the users phone owner name, as Jade opened the text, it was from an individual named “Ordem”, when Jade opened it, curious, the text read: “Thank you for finding us a way out of the last score, I will admit, we were at risk of getting imprisoned that day.” When Jade saw this text, she had a little smirk, knowing she was appreciated by her team, and all that really mattered was that, even if society had rejected her. Closing her phone, Jade was about to leave, when suddenly from the distance outside the alley, she saw a black van, it had three people wearing fully black jackets and pants, with a white T-shirt underneath the jackets, one was the driver, who was wearing a beanie, and had a scarf covering their face, and the other two were at the open side door of the van, operating a set-up camera that looked like it was staring at… her.
Jade thought maybe she was overreacting, they could be filming an advertisement, or a news report, if she made a scene, the cops could get involved, and she would get jail time, which could reveal who she actually is. Jade saw the two individuals operating the camera seemingly talking into a radio, and adjusting the camera to presumably look at her more, even if she was overreacting, she was still shooken up, reaching into her green jacket, and grabbing something just incase, as she slowly creeped outside the alley, when she creeped her head out, she looked both ways, saw no one, and proceeded, but she looked at the original black vans location and it was… gone? Jade tried to book it out of there, but the black van suddenly pulled up right infront of her, stumbling her back a bit at the jumpscare, as from the drivers seat of the black van, she heard a male voice shout “MOVE OUT, MOVE OUT!” After hearing this, Jade immediately panicked, drawing her sidearm revolver from her jacket, but about 4 individuals wearing all black clothing with about two of them wearing beanies came from the side door of the van, and all ganged up on her, holding her arm up so her gun fired at the ceiling, and scaring all nearby civilians away, as Jade was able to put up enough of a fight, getting out of a few chokeholds, and moving backwards so one of the assailants that grabbed her from behind got hit by the wall, as two more of these malicious individual’s ran in from the back of the alley, with one who had a knife, who halted Jade’s struggles by shanking her in the left wrist, with her letting out a yelp of pain, as Jade got grabbed by the rest of them, as she struggled a bit more before feeling a sharp pain hit her neck, as she felt her vision going out, and her losing her strength and adrenaline, as she felt the impact of being thrown right into the back of the van, unable to move, and losing consciousness, and the last things she hears are one of the criminals mumbling “Глупая сука” under his breath, and then the side door of the van slamming shut before she went fully unconscious.
