On a vast clear sky, A sun slowly rises from the horizon, the day has just begun as a plane passes.
Inside the aircraft were sleeping passengers who were slowly waking up to stretch their limbs to begin their day, the flight attendants served the passengers breakfast as they checked up on them making sure there's no discomfort, the elderly watched the scenery by the window, children on their tablets and some businessmen enjoying their coffee.
A soft music was played before a male pilot spoke through the speaker in a cheerful announcing everyone of their destination to Montego Bay airport before welcoming all passengers to Jamaica
It was already morning when the plane landed at Montego Bay airport. Outside 3 family members were standing by the car while one was holding a sign. A man, an old woman and a teenager.
Old woman: Oh I cannot wait to see her again!
Now be on a lookout for her!
Man: aye aye ma, they'll be here soon, it's been years we haven't seen them and hoping we could catch up.
Old woman: It's a good thing I made some snacks for the whole trip.
Man: Yeah, quite a lot
Teenage boy: Hey, look
Man: Hmmm? Is that…?
Standing a few feet away stood a teenage girl in a yellow sunflower dress holding a suitcase waiting when she heard a familiar voice calling her name.
Sunflower girl: Wow, I'm finally back, after all those years, i-i wonder what everyone's reaction when they see me?
Man: Yeline!!!
Sunflower girl: Hmmm? Hi! Good morning!!!
This young lady is Yeline Frances, she returned to her home country to spend months of vacation with the rest of her family after her school year ended a month early, unfortunately her parents cannot go with her due to personal and business reasons.
Yeline’s Uncle: It's too you two weren't here, we were planning a game and movie night for you
Yeline's Dad: Same, but you know how it goes, just gotta wait until I get my PTO, but I'm sure you guys can have fun without us until then.
Yeline's Mom: We're just happy to see you guys again.
Yeline's Grandmother: Please come by when you have the chance okay?
Yeline Dad: Ok mam, Yeline I already send you some spending money so don't waste it too quickly okay~
Yeline: heheh, I know dad I won't
Yeline's Dad: Heh you better, love you princess
Yeline's Mom: Love you!!
Yeline: Love you too bye~
Y Grandmother: Talk to you soon!
Y’s Dad: Bye mom!
*Video call ends*
Yeline's Cousin: So Yeline how's things? What's it like overseas?
Yeline: it was nice over there, the clothes was nice, the mall, coffee drink, there's even a view that's so beautiful and majestic I took many pictures of
Cousin: Sounds great
Yeline: Mhmm! I even got into arts class and piano lessons! I'll send you guys the pictures!
Cousin: Hey guess what?
Yeline: Hmm what?
Cousin: I… got my own visa, you can give me tour when I visit
Yeline: Yes! I will, I have so many places to show you! You'll love it!
Grandmother: Glad you enjoy yourself, you can tell everyone all about it when you get home right?
Yeline: Hehe, Right!
A few hours after leaving Montego Bay airport Yeline finally made it back to her family residence. It's been years since she left home, she wondered how everyone's life's been all this time.
Yeline: Hmmm
Yeline stares at her family home recalling a distant memory before leaving Jamaica but forgotten why, she spotted her old swing and sits there watching her uncles, aunties and cousins carrying her luggage's despite her wanting to carry it herself but they insist on doing it, one of her cousins trip making her giggle a bit before carrying on.
Swinging along, wind brushing through her, the sound of her old neighbours loud radio and the familiar smell, she couldn't help but smile.
*WUFF!*
Yeline: Gyaaa!
A dog suddenly jumped on her lap before licking, her loud giggles attracting curious neighbours.
Yeline: Hahahaha ok, ok!
Neighbour #1: Why look who it is, Yeline
Yeline: Hmm? Oh I remember you!! Auntie Bailey right?
Bailey: Look at you, you're so grown up now!
Bailey’s Husband: Who is it?
Bailey: It's Yeline Will!
Will: Yeline! Wa gawn it's good to see you!
Yeline: It's good to see you too uncle Will, Good morning
Will: Mhmm good morning
After some hugs and chatting with old neighbours, Yeline's grandmother calls her inside.
Inside looks the same when she left Jamaica with a few changes but relatively looks the same, bookshelf, the fridge and even that old TV that only shows a bit of static and it's absurd audio but still works, suddenly she spots a cat, a chunky one, her eyes lit up in sparks gushing over the feline as she lifts it up in the air.
Yeline: AWW! AREN'T YOU A CUTIE!
Y's Cousin: His name's Yellow Albert but we call him yellow for short cuz ya’know he's yellow
Yeline: I'll just call him Al, He’s the cutest and chunky thing ever!
Y's Cousin: Who do you think’s been feeding him all this time?
Both look directly at their grandmother who's in the middle of cooking, the cat meows in annoyance demanding to be released.
Y’s Cousin: Well isn't he cranky
Yeline: Heheh sure is Jonathan, There you go Al, I wonder what everyone else up too?
Y’s Cousin: Probably out somewhere, do you still remember your old room?
Yeline: Think so.
Walking into her old room she finds her uncle leaving a few snacks and drinks for her before setting up Netflix for her when her grandmother calls him.
Yeline: Grandma's calling you
Uncle: I know, so how do you like your room, I painted it in yellow since it's your favourite colour, I already set up Netflix for you
Yeline: Thanks uncle I love this! I can't wait to tell my friends.
As Yeline began to unpack her uncle noticed a familiar yellow star origami hanging around her neck, her cousin also noticed and smirks.
Johnathan: I see you still have that charm on you, aren't you a bit old for that
Yeline: Say's the guy who has collection in his room, I say your no different
Jonathan: Of LEGO’S!!! but why do you have that, still believe it brings you luck?
Yeline: Well yeah! I was able to perform better and even in archery I was in, also, it keeps me calm, thinking back to the good memories ya’know?
Uncle: If you say so, are you fine on your own?
Yeline: Mhmm
Uncle: Alright, if anything you call ok?
Yeline: Ok.
Her uncle kissed her forehead before leaving along with Johnathan.
Uncle: Welcome Home Yeline.
And with that she's left alone in her room, she opens her windows to let in some air before laying on her bed staring at her ceiling.
looking at her charm she remembers her old friends she made years ago, ever since stepping on the plane their the only one's she has on her mind as she recalls their names before smiling.
Yeline: Alright, time to unpack!
After some time has passed till dusk, already setting up her things , catching up with relatives and game night, Yeline is on video call with her friends online while watching some K-Drama.
Friend: But then Dave steals his bike back and plant cricket eggs in the vents
Yeline: Sounds petty
Friend 1: Mhmm, Mike's parents are forced to call pest control to get rid of them.
Friend 2: Serve him right! Hahah!
Yeline: Yeah! But I do kinda bad for him
Friend 2: Heh whatever, so how was your flight yeline?
Yeline: It was good, glad I'm back home as all
Friend 1: Wish we could've joined you on the vacation in Jamaica, I heard good things there
Friend 2: I wanna try out their food, they look so delicious!
Friend 1: Food is all you can think about!! But yeah I wanna try out their “ackee and saltfish”?

Yeline: Mhmm! Will do!
Friend 2: were glad you made it safely, by the way guys, have you heard of the rumours?
Yeline: Hmm? What rumours?
Friend 2: Ya’know, about superhumans, people around the world have strange abilities and stuff?
Friend 1: Oh right! It's all over Media, a dude’s body is like a magnet and another flash blue fire in his hands
Yeline: I already saw those, one is a condition and the other is just CGI girls.
Friend 2: But this is recent yeli! Here lemme send a picture.
Yeline got the notification, she clicked on the image to find a woman standing on water, “Um are you sure this isn't photoshot?” She said not convinced
Friend 2: I'm just telling you what I heard and saw
Friend 1: What did you see?
Friend 2: Remember how I said I lost my phone and money a month ago? I was heading to the subway when I was going to bump into the guy but he phased through me!
Yeline: Through you?
Friend 2: Yeah, I was stunned, I felt total chills when I realised my phone's gone and my money!
He's already gone when I look back at him, it's like he vanished, mind you they're little people there so I couldn't confuse anyone else.
Friend 1: Here I thought it was a lie at first. Anyway I'm off
Later!
Friend: Bye!
Yeline: See you!
After hanging up, Yeline spend the rest of her night in watching K-Drama while scrolling through social media spotting an art post she likes and follows instantly, looking through she finds his art amazing and inspiring left a thoughtful comment before she scrolls along when she comes across a different post of a biker in his helmet she instantly liked and follow, a faint warmth filled her cheek before snapping out of it.
She's doing her usual as she did back overseas.
Yeline: Hmm? What's this?
Scrolling she comes across a word search puzzle she assumes is over 500 rotated letters, with nothing else to do she download the image, open the paint app and begin to cross any word she finds. Halfway completing the puzzle she noticed a gap in the middle with closer inspection she finds a dot , zooming out she noticed something else immediately crossed them out
Yeline: Com and Net? Ahh I get it!
Opening her browser she types in all the words she crosses to find a random website of batteries, bitcoins including online shopping websites that nobody ever uses but at least she finishes the puzzle.
Yeline: Yeah I'm so done with this.
Jonathan: Hey sis, what are you doing?
Yeline: Bored, so I found this word search puzzle with 500 rotated letters online.
Jonathan: Really?
Yeline: Mhmm, there was even a dot by the middle too
Jonathan: Huh, did you type those in search?
Yeline: Yep, how’d you know?
Jonathan: Been on the internet way too long, why try something different?
Yeline: What do you mean?
Jonathan: Ya'know, instead of crossing stuff, I saw something like that on stream, anyway I'm heading out to the shop did you need anything?
Yeline: hmm… strawberry milk and strawberry balls, those are really good with some water with it
Jonathan: Ok, brb!
Sometime before midnight, Yeline woke up to a heavy rain outside, she listens to its ominous rumble as raindrops on her window it was loud and comforting she can remember some moments exactly like this she wants to cry, for a second her charm glowed a bit she rubbed her eyes shaking it off as her imagination before going to the bathroom.
A minute after she was watching a movie of a main character solving hard puzzles as a hobby, later that same character was at the final round of the competition, In front was a huge safe that was impossible to open and within a few seconds he was able to open and win the grand prize, she finish her strawberry milk and look at her laptop with the puzzle saved, then a thought pop in.
“What if I…”
Yeline opens her laptop to the puzzle and looked at it a bit confused then noticed something she hadn't noticed until now, tracing the letters not only there rotated, the letters are spinning clockwise, she went back to post to check the comments to find it closed which she finds a bit strange but no big deal, she checked their bio previous posts finding puzzle similar to the one she's doing.
She goes back to her puzzle and starts tracing in circles instead of crossing, with all the words she has she types one each on the browser to show the same result, she tries again and again until she's last to one word called “Delta”.
feeling a bit tense she types it in then her browser goes black and won't reload.
Yeline: Well at least something works, I hope I didn't crash my laptop…
*Ping*
Hmm?
Yeline was startled when she heard music from her laptop, looking back she saw a title screen of a game.
Yeline: A game? I wasn't expecting that… but at least my laptop didn't crash so that's good!
Listening to the intro for a good minute she proceeded to the next screen showing 4 characters carrying 4 titles. A Warrior, A Magician, A Guardian and A Berserker.
Yeline: This is like one of those RPG games, like final fantasy, I'm going for Magician
Selecting a magician as her character she goes through a tutorial before finally letting off at a village.She starts off with small quests and mini games with small little cubes which in her opinion is cute.
Yeline: I'm off to a good start
After a few minutes of playing the RPG, after clearing all quests, playing mini games, gaining her familiars and accessories, Yeline’s character is in front of the door where the final boss lies. Already checked her inventory she's ready to face it.
Yeline: Ok final boss, I'm ready.
When she interacted with the door her laptop suddenly turned black, she switched from confused to panic trying to move her cursor or reboot her laptop but nothing worked.
Yeline: why now? It was working just moments ago… What am I gonna tell my parents?
Yeline was about to reboot her laptop when a text pops up addressing her full name catching her off guard.
Yeline: Umm… do I know you?
???: No, but I know you, Yeline.
Yeline: How do you know my name? And who are you?
V: Through our game silly and as for my name,well, for now just call me V
I just wanna thank you for playing our game
Yeline: Oh? You're welcome, I really had fun!
V: Happy to hear!!! Now I just wanna ask some questions and I want you to be honest about your answer ok?
Yeline: Sure! This isn't some kind of scam, is it?
V: skeptical?
Yeline: Well, yeah
V: Fair enough, but believe me this is 100 percent not a scam
Yeline: ( isn't what they're saying that makes it more a scam?)
V: Before we begin, we would like you to scan this Code, a new app has developed and figured it might be of interest
Yeline: Ok
After scanning, an app automatically downloads into her phone, and as Yeline answers V’s questions honestly her surroundings already went dark and quiet while she remains unaware.
V: If there was another world similar to any RPG would you crossover
Yeline: Another world? If I could travel back and forth then yeah!
V: I see, that'll be all
Yeline: oh, is there any reason why you're asking me these questions?
V: None in particular, just wondering how you would react being in another world
.
Especially on trial
Yeline: What do you mean?
Yeline, still thinking she's in her room finds herself in complete darkness, she wonders why she couldn't hear the rain or her TV anymore, her body and the screen is what's visible to her.
She searches for her remote thinking the TV is off only to phase through where her bed should've been.
Yeline: W-what?
*Ping*
V: Good luck
Yeline: W-wait!!
Yeline screams echoes as she falls to the abyss
