its midnight, the sound of wind breeze could be heard all around the room. it was cold. Kaelix has his whole body covered in his blanket, crumpling his knees up to his chest because the blanket couldnt cover his feet. Zeal was beside him, playing his phone, scrolling on anything.
“hey, Zeal” the white haired boy who’s freezing spoke suddenly. the brunette answer immediately “yeah?” the brunette still got his phone on his hand but he’s listening. “have you been to an aquarium like, place?” he ask like he has been thinking about it for a while.
“yes, i have actually.” the brunette answer back, looking at his boyfriend who is currently shaped like a burrito beside him. he didnt smile at first as he answer, but the sight of the white haired man beside him made him smile unknowingly. “why?” he ask back with a smile.
“its really weird to me how i always wanted to be in a situation where im surrounded by fishes and other sea creature. but not separated by glass. like, i want to be there.” the boy say as his blue eyes wander off, picturing the aquarium in his mind. “i havent been to an aquarium actually.”
“what? really?” the brunette ask again, now his attention went completely on him. “yeah, i do want it but i also dont want to, you know?” he answer. Zeal look more confused now. “what do you mean?”
his blue eyes now looking directly to the person hes talking to “yeah, like i do love uugh i’d love to be surrounded by fishie and all the whimsical creatures, but i also dont want to see them ‘trapped’ in it, you know?” “trapped?” “yes. like they were in an aquarium. sure, its probably better to some species cuz they were safer there than being hunted by other predators. but theres that feeling of mine that it felt like they were trapped. its quite unnerving tbh”
the brunette move their body closer “yeah? tell me more about it. how are they trapped?” deep down, Zeal just want to hear him talk more. it sooth him and he want to cherish every moment with his boyfriend.
“hmm how do i say this, if the aquarium is like gigantic, i think its awesome. because the fishes could be in a good environment and there are like lots of people whose work is to figure out whats best for the sea creatures. and their safe is guaranteed. but if its an aquarium that is not as big, even if it only have like 2 tiny fishes i still think it suffocate them.” he pause “like they used to have the whole ocean for them, but now they only have that so tiny room.”
“yeah, i get it now” Zeal responds after hearing his thought. “i agree.”
“oh yeah ! you went to an aquarium before, how is it?” the white haired man ask back as he thought its him who has been the only one talking for the past minutes. the brunette looks at Kaelix face while hes trying to remember. “hm, yeah, its cool. it was nice and stuff” he answer with a smile.
“yeah? did you go there alone or with a company?” “with company. well, im with .. someone.” Zeal answered. the white haired boy seems somewhat really curious. “who?” he asks “… its someone close to me at that time.” the brunette lets out a giggle as he saw those blue eyes glare at him with a pout “haha, im joking, i’m with friends.”
“yeah? well, im watching you, Ginjoka.” Kaelix struck him another glare but then laugh at the silliness.
“how about you, Kaelix. do you want to go to the aquarium with me?” his purple eyes looking thoroughly on his boyfriend’s face who got a little tear by the edge of his eyes because he laughs. Zeal place his hand gently on the white haired boy’s cheek and rub the so little tear from his eye with his thumb. “you’re gonne be the only ‘someone special’ i took to the aquarium.” he smiles gently and his voice is soothing.
Kaelix was in awe at the sight of his boyfriend being this handsome, especially with the moon light shining from behind him. “ah.. um yeah, i’ll go with you anytime, anywhere. ..” he sounds nervous out of sudden, even when he tried to compose himself.
“well, thats for another time. for now, we should sleep. i cant have you feeling tired for tomorrow.”
the brunette says relaxingly as if he didnt know what he does to Kaelix. which of course he knows.
Zeal wrapped his arms around the burrito shaped Kaelix, and they sleep like that for the whole night.
