Chapter 1
“Are you ready to go?”
“As ready as I can be,” you murmured, still not fully grasping how much your life was about to change.
“Well then, don’t forget about me! I’m still a call away, you know!” your grandfather said, trying to hold back his tears. Even though he was on the verge of crying, he looked happy for you. Seeing him like that didn’t help in any way.
“I won’t,” you said, close to tears. “I’m going to miss everything about this place — especially you.”
Wiping the tears from his face, he said, “You’re going to be late for your train. Hurry, you don’t want to be late.”
Before grabbing your bags, you gave him a tight hug.
“I love you,” he whispered, gently kissing your forehead.
“I love you too, Grandpa.”
And with that, you were gone.
First Day
The train doors slid open with a hiss, and suddenly, there was no turning back.
“She should be here by now,” you heard someone say around the corner.
As you turned the corner, you saw a tall, white-haired man with bandages covering his eyes. Before you could even question it, he spoke.
“There she is!” the man exclaimed excitedly.
You stayed quiet, trying to figure out who he was talking to, since you had expected only him to be there.
“No need to be shy,” he said cheerfully. “Introduce yourselves!”
Stepping aside, he revealed three students.
“Hi! I’m Yuji Itadori!” one of them said, waving at you with a big smile.
On his left stood a girl with a slightly confused expression on her face. Finally breaking the silence, the orange-haired girl spoke. “Nobara Kugisaki. Pleasure to meet you.”
You could feel someone’s eyes on you.
Turning your head, you locked eyes with a ravenette.
“Fushiguro,” he said simply.
“I’m L/N, Y/N L/N,” you replied, forcing a small smile.
