Chapter Text
So basically, there’s two Core Realms that thousands and thousands of other realms of all kinds orbit around like a solar system around a sun: Heaven, and Hell. Heaven is made up of Celestials, which are like a mix between avians and angels, and I think I’m going to use the biblical angel rankings with Seraphims at the highest, royal rank, Cherubims at the next, and Archangels as like common ones (they’re avians with six wings, halos, and light powers, idk). There’s five royal siblings in Heaven, (their mom, Queen Lucille, is dead, I’ll get to that later, but their dad, idk his name yet, is still alive and ruling Heaven) Artemis (male), the oldest, Eris (male), the second oldest, Lux (male), the middle child, and Nyx (female) and Angel (male) are the two youngest (Nyx is older) who used to be super close, and they all live in separate castles in Heaven (don’t ask me why, idk the reason yet). Nyx grew power hungry and began to eat other Celestials for their Light (the essence of their being, what they’re made of and what their powers come from), which drove her insane because she couldn’t handle the power. Eventually, she ate their own mother, Queen Lucille, and their father was finally able to catch her and banish her to Hell forever, along with Lux, who was working with her.
(Everyone in Heaven and Hell are immortal and can’t die of old age or age past what looks like mid-20s in human years, but they can die of wound, ichor ((blood)) loss, fatigue, or sickness)
Hell, instead of fire, death, and eternal suffering, is kind of like a dystopian Earth. Idk if y'all've seen Arcane, but think of Zaun from Arcane (a really polluted city with like merchants and robbers and gangs and stuff and the whole ‘everyone fends for themself’ kind of place) as an example of what it’s like, and the inhabitants there are known as Demons. They were ruled by an ancient Ink Demon (shut up, it’s not a Bendy and the Ink Machine reference, so many people say it is but it totally wasn’t purposeful) known as Erebus, who was the original ruler of Hell. When Nyx got sent to Hell, she managed to overthrow and kill the current King of Hell, Ciaran, taking his powers (which turned her into an Ink Demon) and status as the ruler of Hell, with Lux by her side as her advisor.
Angel was very close to their mother, and his Light was the most powerful out of any in Heaven because his mother was directly linked to her ancestor, the original ruler of Heaven, Lucifer (Angel as well, but his Light was more powerful than his mother’s), so Nyx has been after him for abouttttttttttttttt 15,279 years (Angel is 25,700 years old) trying to kill him so she can eat his Light and become all-powerful.
So basically, all this is linked to the Sun and Moon show, because I made this yaoi OC X Canon ship two years ago with an avian I named Angel, and a canon character named Solar, but as the time went by, I was like “Hmm, I should give Angel lore” and slowly started coming up with this 👍👍
Other things to know about Angel: He’s gay, he was forced into an arranged marriage with this princess named Cassandra and had three lil hatchlings with her named Stella, Liam, and Violet, and his bird species is a mix of owl and peacock when he transforms into his more avian form. (He's basically if Stolas was short and had gold feathers and was WAY more humanoid)
(With Ink and Light being flexible, that means that Celestials and Demons can change their forms into literally whatever, so I have a dragon form for Nyx and Angel and they both look super badass :3) (Demons have more western dragon forms, while Celestials have eastern dragon forms)
Oh yeah, also, everyone I just mentioned except for Solar are all British (think Ruin from TSAMS or Queen Elizabeth ((RIP)) and not Hobie Brown).
I also always imagined Angel with Stolas' voice ngl.
Nyx and Hexara are (well, Nyx was, Hex is) both Cherubims that lived in a cottage with their two mothers in Heaven, but they were separated at birth, and Nyx was adopted into the royal family while Hex stayed with her moms. I also came up with a language (I'm kind of coming up with the words as I write) that Celestials and Demons use, which is named Xerian (Because I decided to basically name the entirety of the universe Xeria) which is pronounced "zair-ee-an".
I might add to this if I come up with any more lore, but for now, this is the lore.😌
