January 28th, Inazuma City
The Tenryou Commission’s meeting room tensed the moment General Kujou Sara stepped in
She settled at the front table, shifting papers in her hands as all eyes turned toward her
“A drug dealer from Inazuma was recently captured” Kujou Sara announced “During the investigation, the Tenryou Commission has obtained new intel indicating that another dealer has fled to Liyue. He is believed to be disguising himself as a tea merchant”
She paused
“Unfortunately, the intel provides only the suspect’s name. It remains necessary to conduct a thorough investigation to determine his true identity”
Everyone groaned, aware that with Lantern Rite approaching, conducting an investigation during the festival would be more difficult due to the crowds
Shikanoin Heizou, who had barely been paying attention to the announcement stood up
“I will take it !!” he said, without a second thought
Heads turned, eyes wide with disbelief
“Very well, meet me at my office Doushin Shikanoin” Kujou Sara said, dismissing the meeting
The room slowly emptied, leaving Heizou alone in the quiet room
He is seemingly deep in thought
His mind wandered not to the case, but to the opportunity of finally seeing the love of his life, Kaedehara Kazuha, again after months of apart
The thought brought a small smile to his sweet pink delicate lips
Suddenly, his coworker Uesugi appeared right in front of him “Uh.. Sensei, General Kujou called you to her office. You’ve been sitting here smiling like a madman” he said, trying not to laugh
“Man alive, don’t tell anybody!” Heizou shot back “I’ll be right there!”
He sprang to his feet abruptly and dashed out of the room, leaving Uesugi shaking his head in disbelief

“Here, All the dealer information is in this file” Kujou Sara said, handing a thick folder to him
Heizou flipped it open, examining the contents “So.. when am I heading to Liyue?”
“You’ll depart tomorrow at 7am” Kujou Sara replied “Be prepared, Discretion is essential”
“Mhm” Heizou nodded and left the office

The case would be very challenging due to the crowds and chaos but Heizou forgot about it completely
His mind wandered only to Kazuha, ex-criminal who had stolen his heart long before the vision hunt decree
The thought of seeing him again made the hours until departure feel unbearably long.
