Work Text:

This new student has been really annoying Muu lately. How dare she not treat Her like royalty? Who does she think she is? Ugh.

Muu Kusunoki. 16 years old. The beautiful Princess of the school! A total Queen Bee. Everyone treats Her with respect. Except for the new transfer student, that is.

Rei. Rei treated the Queen. Was she jealous? She must be!

Or at least, Muu thinks she is.

Rei just found treating Muu like a God useless. She was the same as her. Just a teenage girl. Just a little richer, but still...

Today, as usual, the Queen and the new student were found bickering in the alleyway. Seems like they bumped against each other and Muu, as usual, wasn't happy about the fact that Rei refused to bow down to her to apologize. Others did it, so then what gave her the permission not to do the same?

"Come on, just do it!"

A student, Muu's 'friend', pleaded Rei. Muu refused to get moving until Rei apologized in the 'right way'.

"Never!"

Rei replied as she crossed her arms, looking at Muu with that defiant expression of hers. It only made the peachy haired girl angrier.

At that point, the girl with long and black, dark like a cat's coat, hair that was with Muu got fed up and, after she grabbed the arm of a girl in the crowd of students that formed around them, she started pushing Rei down in a bow with the help of the other girl.

"H-hey! Stop- Stop it!"

Rei grunted as she tried to push back against the two forces. It wasn't enough, though. She gave up and bowed.

"See? It wasn't that hard!"

Muu's 'friend' snickered in annoyance, before both she and the other girl let Rei go, pushing her against the wall.

"...Let's just go."

Muu said, her voice a little quieter than usual. She didn't seem satisfied, since they basically forced Rei to bow. But whatever, it was enough. For now.

Rei hardly glared at Muu, and then at the crowd. Of course, they took photos. Of course they were going to share them with the whole school!

What even is this generation's problem!?

Rei wanted to get away from their amused eyes, so she slowly pushed herself away from the cold wall and ran away, pushing her legs as much as she could, as if this could be her last time running.

The muscles of her legs hurt, but nothing felt better than the quietness of the empty bathroom at the last floor of the school. At least she could calm down.

—

As months passed, the bullying towards Rei only started to increase. Rei was tired of it.

Muu didn't do anything about it. She didn't stop her 'beloved' bees from stinging Rei, but she didn't instigate them either. On a different point of view, they were just trying to protect their hive... their Queen.

But Rei had had enough of it.

"You still haven't learned your lesson, Rei?..."

Muu asked her with that condescending look of hers. That stupid amused smile. That really did annoy Rei.

When the girls were alone, their fights were never violent. Just full of tension and an undertone of hatred... at least, from Rei. Muu seemed to almost enjoy it, sometimes. As if she liked having someone who could go against her. That sweet as cotton candy yet annoyed look Muu gave Rei was something she could never forget. If Rei wasn't being bullied by basically the whole school, the two girls would probably look like enemies on good terms.

"S...Shut up..."

Rei bitterly barked back. She was glaring at Muu [just like how she did in It's Not My Fault.]

What happened next came like a blur to Muu, and the same was for Rei... and as for the rest of the people in the room.

The chair hit Muu hard on the side of her head.

Rei was shocked — with that force, how the hell did she NOT die!?

Maybe... maybe it's for the best that she survived the hit, actually.

Muu, on the other side, wished she actually did. Because she absolutely HATED all those disgusted stares pointed at her, like spotlights in a soccer field.

Muu had threw up a bit... everywhere, due to the concussion she just received. She was panicking so hard, she couldn't even breathe. Her nose was bleeding so much, even her uniform got stained. Her vision started getting blurry aswell.

She was a mess.

And maybe that wasn't enough to describe it.

And the people around her didn't even think twice before starting to snap pics of the disgusting mess she was. The first thought in those sick heads was to make fun of the fallen Queen of course, not helping her!

What kind of hive is this supposed to be!? Aren't bees usually loyal at all times to their Queen? What a bunch of disgusting cockroaches! Beautiful, hardworking and loyal bees could never be compared to such disgusting beings.

As for Rei, she didn't know how to feel. Maybe she was as panicked as Muu. Maybe she felt a little proud, maybe finally free, since it seemed like everyone turned their backs on Muu in the moment she needed others the most. It was sickening. She felt nauseous. Maybe from all the vomit around the now not-so-beautiful ex-Princess, or maybe because of how disgusting humanity could be sometimes.

Rei slowly got out of the class, hoping not to get noticed, leaving Muu alone, with the others. She knew Muu wouldn't be safe from the humiliation they were about to give her, but someone had to call an ambulance. Because obviously, no piece of trash inside that classroom was going to.

Deep down, Rei felt like Muu deserved the humiliation.

It's karma, no? She definitely deserved it.

Well... to a point.

-

It's been a while since Muu started getting bullied. Suddenly, all those girls who used to push Rei around were now all apologizing to her, even trying to befriend her, telling her how they 'never liked Muu at all' and that they just 'followed what the others did'.

Such useless beings, following others like a bunch of sheeps. This school was just a big flock of sheeps, huh?

Those girls weren't the only ones apologizing to Rei...

Muu, almost everyday, tried to gain Rei's forgiveness.

Yet, she was brushed off all the time. Rei usually reacted coldly, or just ignored her, just like how the fallen Queen did, back when Rei was the target of the hive.

But Muu had had enough of it.

"Rei!"

Muu called out to Rei, who was on her way home, running towards her.

"Rei!- Please... please! Forgive Muu-chan!"

Muu pleaded with tears in her eyes, those shiny green eyes that resembled a beautiful lake illuminated by sun rays during sunset. She even went out of her way to grab Rei's sleeve, holding onto her tightly.

"..."

Rei's eyes narrowed as she tore her arm away from Muu's grip, in a way that was even too hostile for Rei herself. Today hadn't been a good day for the ash brown-haired girl, since she kept getting pestered by annoying trashbags trying to get their way into becoming her friend.

She just wanted to go home.

What happened next came like a blur to Rei, and the same was for Muu.

Rei's hands were tightly wrapped against Muu's arm which was insistently pushing back against Rei's force. A box cutter was in the ex-Queen Bee's hand, tightly held to harm.

"Muu, What The FUCK! QUIT IT!!!"

Rei hissed as she fought back as much as she could, but Muu didn't seem like she wanted to give up. After all, if she didn't successfully kill Rei... she would get reported to the police. Be laughed at by everyone on the news.

"No! YOU chose this! YOU REFUSED TO FORGIVE MUU-CHAN!!!!!!!"

Muu yelled back, applying as much strength as she could to the push the cutter in Rei's abdomen.

"Just... JUST LET MUU DO IT-!!"

She screamed, before the box cutter went flying into air, falling far from the fighting girls, their arms still tangled together. The box cutter slipped from Muu's grip due to how hard she was holding it, and Rei was quick to launch it into air so Muu wouldn't be able to retrieve it.

"What. Is even wrong with you, Muu."

Rei instantly barked once she had Muu to herself, gripping her tightly so she wouldn't scramble towards the box cutter.

"M-Muu... Muu-chan only wants to be left alone! Rei has had her revenge- so... so then why can't she just forgive Muu!?"

Muu screamed back in Rei's face, who didn't seem to be touched at all by her tone of voice, or the small particles of saliva spitting from her mouth.

"...I'm just playing the same game as you, Muu."

Rei calmly replied, even if her eyebrows were furrowed in a frown. Then, a sigh left her mouth.

"Listen, Muu... I never wanted to be on bad terms with you."

Rei then confessed to the other girl.

"Then... then why... why does Rei keep hurting Muu-chan?"

Muu asked, her tone of voice got quieter aswell, suddenly aware that someone could hear them and worsen the situation.

"I'm not doing anything Muu. Don't you realize? Both you and I... are victims of the same system."

Rei said, slowly relaxing her grip on Muu's arms, since the pretty girl seemed to have calmed down.

"What do you mean...? Muu doesn't understand."

Muu replied with a pout. Rei sighed, shaking her head.

"It's all their fault. It's those trashbags who keep hurting us, Muu."

Rei explained, at which Muu finally nodded in understanding.

"Ah... Muu thinks... Rei is right. Muu is sorry."

Muu finally apologized again, this time for attacking Rei. Since Muu actually looked sorry and guilty for it, Rei released her and slightly smiled.

"It's alright. It wasn't your fault, I guess... and I'm sorry too. For hitting you that time."

Muu smiled back at Rei. Her cheeks even got a little pinker. For once... a real apology towards the spoiled girl who only heard fake whimpers and apologies without meaning from her other peers.

The feelings Muu deeply buried in the last weeks were slowly resurfacing. Rei understood her. Rei was genuine. Rei was...

Rei was never the enemy. She was right.

Rei is a good person. A nice girl. A...

A real friend.

In a few seconds, Muu collapsed in Rei's arms, hugging her tightly, nuzzling her face against Rei's collarbone.

"T...Thank you, Rei..."

"Ah... it's... no problem, Muu..."

After hugging for some more, Rei offered to accompany Muu to her house. Well, mansion. Muu of course accepted. It was the first time someone wanted to accompany her just to make sure she was safe, and not because they needed to check how wealthy she was... as if knowing that Muu had more than 5 bathrooms in her mansion wasn't enough.

The next day, they had something planned.

-

Once they found each other in front of their school, the two girls smiled at each other.

"So, Muu... got what I asked you?"

"Muu did! I'm not sure where Papa got this but... here!"

Muu said as she passed Rei a gun.

Exactly, a GUN.

"Nice..."

Rei said with a devilish smirk on her face as she inspected the gun, before passing it to her right hand so she could hold Muu's hand with the other.

"So, you ready to take back what they robbed you of?"

"Muu is! Very ready! They'll see! Nobody hurts the Queen BeeS!"

That's right. Muu and Rei were going to make them all pay...

In this last year of school, both girls almost died and got bullied relentlessly everyday. How can one not turn insane?

No one even noticed they did!

And unsurprisingly, nobody even tried to fight them off when they pulled against them with a gun and the same box cutter Rei was going to lose her life to the previous day.

Their first victims were their class along with Muu's old friend group. Hell if they deserved it.

Then it was the whole school's turn next.

How did nobody get alarmed? Easy.

Rei didn't shoot. Not even once. The gun was used just to keep everyone quiet, to take the merciless stabs Muu gladly sent them without making noise.

Why did nobody call the police? Even easier!

Muu successfully convinced his father to make the powerful people cut all phone signals for the day. Paid big money for it aswell.

Revenge was sweet. But not as sweet as the moment the two girls shared on the rooftop!

It had gotten late. The sun was setting. Muu's head was on Rei's shoulder as the two admired the beautiful pink merging with the orange as the sun descended.

"...Good job, Muu."

Rei told her as she looked down at Muu, her face was even prettier when the sun rays hit her like this.

"Thank you, Rei..."

Muu sweetly replied as she looked at Rei aswell. The pair couldn't be happier. They were free. They felt free.

Freedom... it felt so good knowing that all those useless waste of space were gone. The world felt like a better one now.

"You know, Rei... Muu always knew you could get me."

"Mhm? Really, now?"

"Of course! Nobody ever opposed Muu like Rei did."

"I wonder why."

Muu rolled her eyes as she gave Rei a slight push with her head. Rei laughed it off.

"Rei..."

"What, now?"

"Muu... Muu loves you. Very much."

"..."

Rei didn't really reply. She just wrapped an arm around the ex-Queen and cuddled closer. Well, actually... Muu was her Queen now.

-

"How odd... those two haven't left each other's side since we met them!"

Yuno commented as she observed Muu and Rei from a distance, along with Mahiru and Mikoto.

"Did they really bond this fast? No... it can't be. Maybe they already knew each other?"

Mikoto added as he looked as puzzled as Yuno did. Mahiru, on the other side... she looked like she was on cloud nine!

"They absolutely already knew each other! Don't you two see it, too? How lovey-dovey they are? Oh! So cuuuute!"

Mahiru said with her hands clasped tightly in one another, as she stared dreamily at the two girls.

"Eh, maybe we really didn't see it. Fuuta, on the other hand..."

Mikoto said with a small snicker, pointing at Fuuta who was glaring at Muu and Rei in disgust.

The two were glued together.

And they will be... for life.

Hopefully.

Notes:
