Chapter Text
The nine players who selected Germany…
…Please proceed to the next room.
Isagi cautiously strolled towards the elongated door, a greyed blue print of a pentagon sprouted from the doorframe. The others followed him in a slow pursuit, hearts racing beyond compare. ‘This next stage would surely change their futures permanently.’ Isagi thought, with a tone of dread in his own internal voice.
Tho his mind was wiped as a sudden blinding light burned his eyesight. A painfully ringing sound pierced through his ears, rippling throughout his body. His whole body stiffened as the oxygen was forcefully ripped out of him.
…
Then? He felt nothing, nor did he hear or see anything. Like a tranquil body of water. That didn’t last long either as his body lurched upright. Eyes shot open. He heaved in a deep breath of air, chest heavy like he’d just been drowned. But he was fine? A heavy flood of smells hit him. He practically winced. He couldn’t even tell what he was smelling: cinnamon, bark, vanilla? Everything. Or maybe nothing. Either way it was overwhelming.
A dim room materialized infront of him, a large matte screen towards the centre. Where on earth was he? Surely this wasn’t Bluelock, Ego hadn’t mentioned a theatre room. Was there even enough space for one?
Rapid questions paced throughout his mind like a never ending avalanche.
“What the fuck! We’ve been kidnapped!” A voice shot out from behind Isagi, which he could only guess was Igaguri. He didn’t know many people with a voice as high and naive as Igaguri’s
“No shit captain obvious!” Raichi retorted, his temper already seemed to be getting the better of him.
So the others are here too? Isagi grunted as he pushed himself (far from gracefully) off of the carpeted ground. Despite the early flash-bang, his eyesight didn’t seem too affected.
Before he could even get a single word out. A peculiar voice ringed out; seemingly from nowhere.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I humbly welcome you to my domain! I’ve gathered you all here to bless you with the future!”
The voice affable and open. Way too confident for Isagi’s liking. Although. In a way, it was strangely comforting. Hearing someone with so much passion and assurance made him feel much better.
“Feel free to take your seats anytime you like. The show will begin soon.”
As quick as the voice had came, the quicker it had left. Leaving no room or opening for questions. They had been silenced in a way. Despite the invitation to sit down, no one moved. Frozen by terror, fear, uncertainty. Or maybe all of them. Fortunately, he didn’t need to find his friends. They seemingly came to him.
“Isagi! Over here!” A similar voice announced. Bachira! Isagi spun around too quick for his own good. Just quick enough for Bachira to move over to him and slump an arm across his shoulders. Hiori, Chigiri, and Kurona following close behind. All giving their own simultaneous greeting (which he returned).
“Come on, let’s sit down somewhere.” Bachira stated, already dragging Isagi down never ending stairs. The presence of his friends did almost nothing to settle his nerves tho. He couldn’t dwell on the unwelcoming feeling dug deep in his gut. Bachira weaved through rows upon rows and rows of chairs before finding what he deemed ‘the perfect place’.
…
What had to of been fifteen minutes had passed, Isagi and the others had attempted to go on their phones. But.. to no prevail, it’s like an electromagnetic wave was interfering with any kind of wifi or data. Nothing would work. Isagi’s nervous glancing did come in handy tho. He could see Karasu, Otoya and Yukimiya a row behind them along with Tokimitsu and Aryu. Rin sitting far on his own, a bone chilling snarl on their face. Isagi shuddered. Attention turning to the more centre area of the room.
Raichi and Igaguri seemed to be arguing, a common thing they all saw on a daily basis. A moment later he saw Reo scolding them like a mother. Nagi slumped against the plump, velvet chair. The poor guy looked bored out of his mind without an electronic.
His observation of the room was disturbed as Chigiri’s hand clamped on his shoulder.
“Isagi- you with us, we’ve been calling your name for a moment now.” A tint of concern in the redheads voice.
Isagi’s eyes slightly widened, breath hitched before he let out a small breathy chuckle. Awkwardly rubbing his hand on the nape of his neck. “Sorry Chigiri, I didn’t meant to scare you guys.”
“It’s fine, just making sure you’re alright.”
Isagi smiled endearingly but didn’t give a verbal response, tho Chigiri seemed satisfied and turned back around. Hiori quickly piped up.
“If yer’ want, we could go talk to the others. I’m sure they’re all wonderin’ the same thing as us?” He offered calmly. Isagi’s eyes lightened. Now he was curious. When he first got here, he hadn’t taken a proper look around. Nor had he seen all the people here. Plus… nothing wrong with snooping? Rightttt? What harm could that do!
He and Hiori quickly set off, leaving the others behind as they trekked up the isle stairs. What really put Isagi off, was that he felt as light as a feather. Like he was hovering, but he wasn’t. A shake of his head as he continued. Now that they were higher up; seeing everything and everyone else became much clearer. Tons of the seats had been taken except for the minority of open chairs. He glanced towards Hiori who seemed to be analyzing everything just as much as he himself was. It wasn’t long before they reached the top. A large arch infront of them, doors shut. Isagi could resist. Nor the temptation or his own curiosity.
His legs carried his forwards without another step, his hand raising.
Hesitation.
He whacked his hand into the handle and tried to open it. Emphasis on tried, no matter how hard he tried to open it. The damn door would budge. A soft grunt escaped him as he readjusted his grip. Moving his weight to the ball of his foot.
“Oi Sprout! What’s got you so desperate to leave!” Shidou yelled, a devilish smirk on his face as he sauntered over. The sudden interruption caused Isagi to jerk backwards. Completely loosing his balance; sending himself right to his ass..
“Ow…” Isagi hissed in annoyance, looking up at Shidou with a grim frown. The blonde only seemed to smile harder. “
Suddenly, that same voice from before pinged out.
“My dearests, before my show begins. It would be impolite of me not to answer questio-“
“Here’s one, tell us where we are you lukewarm bastard.” Rin’s voice shot out with a snarky undertone, he looked more than unimpressed.
“Hey! Don’t cut me off you’re so impolite!” The voice whined with a huff. But nonetheless they continued.
“Like I said, you’re in my domain. My world of imagination, and you’re going to sit tight and watch what I give you.”
In which Rin retorted in a short snort.
Isagi sighed deeply, he knew this was going to be a dreadful experience.
“Isagi dear, you look bothered.” The voice turned solemn, Isagi could practically see the frown on their face. Whether it was mocking or not, he.. couldn’t actually tell.
His eyes widened before he immediately turned his attention to his shoes. “I- it’s nothing, sorry. I’m fine-!” He squealed, practically surrounded by thick tension. His cheeks, he could already feel them burning red. Which only reddened as chuckles erupted around him. He zipped his coat up and pulled the collar over the bottom half of his face.
Defiantly a dreadful experience.
Get yourself together Isagi, this was a pitiful sight. This simple reminder managed to snap his back immediately. Forcefully making his body relax. Breathe.
His little session of meditation was cut very short.
“Our protagonist for our first clip is none other than…
…Isagi Yoichi!”
