Summary:

a collection of short stories of the duos/trios from uu!

Notes:

I wanted to write this as a way to dump all my thoughts about each duo/trio respectively, especially the ones that don’t get enough love…

Some stories may have multiple parts in which they will be numbered accordingly

Chapter 1: flame n lomedy

Chapter Text

FlameFrags didn’t understand why he agreed to this in the first place.

A peaceful kind of life just wasn’t the way he wanted to live, in fact, Flame thinks is stupid to hope for such things on a server like this, not to mention the fact it’s boring, uninteresting and down right dull. Peace isn’t an option, never has been, and Flame learnt that from a very young age, being taught by ManePear after all. You don’t let your opponents run free, you make them submit or they die, if someone betrays you, you kill then, and if you need to fight dirty to win then so be it. Flame didn’t exactly follow that last rule though, after all being the strongest is who he is, it’s what makes up his entire being, if he doesn’t fight with honour is it even a fight to begin with? Some may call it stupid, but Flame could probably kill then before they have the chance to say anything else, so who cares? Fighting has always been fun, wether it’s sparing or a fully fledged fight, the euphoria it brought to him was always a good time. The rush, the clashing of swords dancing against each other as one person tries to stab the other, it was a feeling Flame could never get tired of, a feeling he lived and breathed for, so he doesn’t exactly know what he’s doing here on this…half baked ‘farm’.

“Lomedy, you know damn well that farming isn’t one of my strong suits, correct?”.

Lomedy turns to Flame, raising an eyebrow. “Uh… I mean I guess I know that now, but what’s wrong with farming? It’s not that difficult”.

“Whats ‘wrong’ is the fact you called me all the way out here to help you build a stupid plot of ‘dirt’ you chungies call a farm”.

Lomedy’s face creases slightly, taking offence to the comment made about him. “Well sorry for wanting some help, but I can’t help but feel as if you owe me something after forcing me to go on that little adventure of yours”.

“Dude, that was a learning experience, I’d say that’s favour enough”.

“YOU FORCED ME INTO JOINING YOU, THATS PRETTY DAMNING BEHAVIOUR TO ME”,Lomedy shouts.

Flame sighs, but doesn’t say anything back in response, partly because he does have a point. To be honest, Flame doesn’t understand why he went through all the trouble of ‘recruiting’ the farmer in the first place, after all he did most of the heavy lifting. Poor old Lomedy could only stand there and watch as he decimated anyone who dare stood in his way, it was beautifully grotesque just how easy Flame found it to pierce through another’s chest, like slicing through butter. Good times, Flame wishes he was able to relive that experience, but all things must come to and end eventually. Lomedy was as good as dead weight though, utterly useless when it came to PvP. FlameFrags even went out of his way to try and train him, but he truly was a lost cause when it came to fighting, Flame will admit, it was funny watching him flail around with a sword, like a reminder he couldn’t get rid of him even if he wanted to. Lomedy’s just taking things too seriously, when he messaged Flame saying he needed his help he thought it would be something important, something fun, something exciting, not digging down into dirt and helping him farm…

“Whatever, I’m not doing this”, Flame turns around, about to walk away before he hears something.

“I didn’t know the ‘Immortal Demon’ didn’t know how to make a simple farm plot, I guess I overestimated how capable you are….”.

Flame can feel a vein tighten on his head. “What did you say bro?”.

“You heard me! If you’re so great I don’t see why you can’t help me build something so simple, unless you put all your skill into fighting and not thinking”.

Lomedy didn’t know if provoking Flame was the best idea, but what he did know is that Flame does in fact, have quite the large ego…After all, he’s dealt with someone similar before, thought Flame certainly takes it to a whole new level, as long as he pokes him a little he should fold eventually…That or Flame just kills him.

“…”

Flame doesn’t say anything, he stares down at Lomedy, gaze so piercing Lomedy could see it behind his blind fold, taking one slow step forward. Then another, and another, until Flame was certainly looking directly at him. Lomedy’s never felt such fear in his entire life, besides a few other occasions.,.But perhaps he went too far. Flame’s gaze shifts elsewhere, looking to his side, and so Lomedy’s eyes follow, but he only sees two hoes, an axe, and an assortment of seeds he’s collected on his travels. That and Flame’s sword, his most prized possession, he even gave it a name, ‘Fragger’. Flame slowly stepped past Lomedy, causing him to let out a breathe of relief, but he still watches what Flame does next, taking note of the fact he’s seemingly trying to grab something…What was in that pile again?

Oh, oh no…

“Okay, so you know I didn’t exactly mean what I said right? I was just joking!”.

Lomedy begins to stammer out excuses, sweat beginning to form on his face. As FlameFrags turns around, Lomedy’s face drained of colour as he slowly closed his eyes, hands shooting up into a defensive stance, as if preparing for what was inevitable. He had a good run while he lasted, at least he was able to die doing what he loved.

“Dude, what are you doing. Put your hands down you look stupid”.

Lomedy’s eyes snap open in an instant, his face still plastered with shock, but as he slowly puts his hands down, he realises what’s in front of him, and from what he can tell, it certainly isn’t a sword, or any weapon for that matter. It was a hoe, one of his special ones he always uses to farm, and there stood FlameFrags, holding it out to him, gesturing for him to take it. Flame gives Lomedy a weird look before shoving it into his hands, and he snaps out of his shocked state, hands waving frantically trying to catch it so it doesn’t fall to the ground. Lomedy lets out a huge sigh of relief, extremely thankful that today wouldn’t be his last. Perhaps he needs to stop overthinking things, granted he truly did think Flame would’ve killed him in that moment, it’s not like they were that close with each-other.

“Oh, thanks bro…Sorry I was kinda zoned out for a second”. Lomedy lets out an awkward laugh.

“Sure, whatever you say weirdo, just know I’m only doing this to prove you wrong”.

Oh yeah, the provoking thing…Lomedy’s seriously surprised that worked as well as it did, but with the surprise of being alive subsiding, he realised he could use this to his advantage and maybe teach Flame that the way of the farmer isn’t boring as he thinks it is….

“Sure bro, we’ll see who’s all talk once we actually start”.

“Don’t come crying when you find out I’m naturally better than you”, Flame boasts.

Lomedy lets out a laugh, a genuine laugh. Maybe Flame isn’t as bad as he thought, perhaps after this he should convince him too visit more often…

“What are you even giggling at bro”.

“Nothing, let’s just go already!”.

How. How can planting a singular seed be this hard, this cant be real. Flame thinks this is stupid, rigged even, because there is no way in hell he was seriously struggling with planting a singular seed. Flame isn’t gentle, he knows it, he’s always been a fighter, so things like this didn’t come naturally to him. But even so, this is just unfair! It’s like the universe is actively telling him he sucks, if anyone finds out that the ‘Immortal Demon’, the so called strongest player on the server can’t even plant a single seed, his reputation is ruined. Lomedy did this on purpose, Flame is sure of it, after all he’s always been a farmer so it makes since he’s good at this. As Flame turns to look at him from across his plot of dirt, he can see the farmer planting with the utmost efficiency, taking his time and making sure he does everything correctly, petting the seeds as if they’d be able to feel his care for them seeping through the dirt. He looks happy, peaceful, a stark contrast to what Flame is used to seeing on his face, normally he’s always stand off-ish, scared or annoyed, Lomedy rarely laughs without it being awkward, like he’s trying to hide his fear under a mask of complacence. Not that Flame cares about how he feels in particular, he just can’t help but note the fact Lomedy is in his element, and Flame is struggling to catch up.

If he plants a seed, he ends up crushing it with his boots trying to plant another one, he tries to water it? It ends up soaked, the dirt becoming borderline mud. Sometimes he’d crush the seed with his bare hand out of sheer frustration, so it was safe to say things were not going to progress smoothly. Why did Flame agree to this? Curse Lomedy, Flame vows to get back at him for this, this dumb farm is probably gonna get destroyed in a week anyways! Besides, what sane person spends all their time farming? Maybe it could be fun at first but it’s bound to become tiring, and these kinds of farms aren’t even useful, they’re not cobweb farms, not even exp farms, just crops. How can a person find fulfilment doing this? Flame feels like his heads about to burst just trying to plant a simple seed, maybe farming is some kind of endurance test, because that’s what it’s feeling like right now…

“Ugh, Lomedy, how the fuck do you do this for a living…”,Flame groans.

Lomedy hearing Flame call for him, begins to walk towards the other farm plot he gave Flame earlier, only to see it was somehow in worse condition than before.

“Dude…How do you even manage this?”. He sighs,

“It’s literally just planting seeds…”.

Flames grip on his hoe becomes tighter. “Shut up, It’s not like you even showed me how to do it anyways”.

Lomedy gives Flame a look. “It’s literally just seed planting, id imagine it to be pretty self explanatory”.

“Whatever, I’ll figure it out eventually”.

Lomedy pinches his nose, before reluctantly crouching down next to Flame, a bag of seeds in his hand.

“If you seriously don’t know, I can teach you”.

Flame scoffs, “Nah, if it’s so ‘easy’ I can do it myself”.

“Ok then, let me see you try”.

Flame hesitates for a second, before fumbling to grab a seed out of the pouch, digging a small hole in the ground so he could put it in. Unfortunately for him however, as he attempted to water the plant, his fingers slipped slightly, pouring a lot more water than necessary and ruining it. He tries over and over again, but never manages to find any success, so in a fit of rage throws Lomedy’s watering can onto the floor, breaking the handle.

“Dude! That was my favourite one…”.

“Shut up bro, I swear to GOD this cant be real…”.

Lomedy laughs, much to Flames dismay.

“Well then, do you think you don’t want my help now?”.

“Fine…whatever bro”.

“Yay!”.
