Fate Grand Order 「One Shot's」

Summary:

Here I will be posting some one-shots that I write about this franchise. Most of them are random; it depends on whether I find a funny image that catches my attention and I want to write about it, or if someone requests it in the comments.

Chapter 1: Chaldea's Cafeteria - Divine Interruption

Chapter Text

The cafeteria is pandemonium. The child Master laughs uproariously as Indra's Vajras unleash small bursts of energy at the toasters, sending toast flying and landing on the head of a Servant asleep in the corner. Indra, grinning from ear to ear, watches the spectacle from his chair, reveling in the chaos. Arjuna, in a corner, rubs his temples, feeling an impending headache.

[Gudao (Child Master)]: —Pointing excitedly at a coffee machine.— Vajra, Vajra! Make it "glug-glug" and then "poof" with the coffee!

[Indra]: —Winking at the child.— That's the spirit, little one! Show them how to wield divine energy! Make the coffee dance!

Just then, an icy presence and an ethereal light fill the cafeteria. Jeanne d'Arc (Metatron) enters with a bright halo above her head, her golden eyes gleaming with a judgmental light. The noise of the Vajras abruptly ceases, and the toasters stop their sizzling. Even Indra feels a chill.

[Metatron/Jeanne]: —Her voice resonates with perfect clarity, devoid of any emotion.— This activity has been classified as a violation of the established order and a waste of energy resources.

[Indra]: —He settles into his chair, forcing a nonchalant smile.— Ah, Jeanne. Just in time for the fun. We're in the middle of a lesson on lightning control for the Master. It's vital for their development.

[Metatron/Jeanne]: —Their eyes fix on the child Master, then on the Vajras, which shrink slightly.— The Master is the pivot of humanity. Their development must be consistent with survival. Recreational manipulation of energy is inefficient and destructive. Vajras. Cease all offensive activity and return to your dormant state.

The Vajras, though created by Indra, obey Metatron's overwhelming authority. They hum one last time and disappear, becoming invisible, leaving the child Master with a perplexed expression and a small, budding tantrum.

[Gudao]: —Frowning, pouting.— My Vajras! I want my Vajras! I don't like Jeanne!

[Indra]: —Muttering softly— You've really gone too far now, Jeanne... You took away his toys.

[Metatron/Jeanne]: —Looking at Indra with a severity unaffected by the child's pout— Indra. Your permissiveness is a flaw in your "King of the Gods" programming. I remind you of your position as Protector of humanity, not as its facilitator of childish chaos. The Master will be transferred to a secure containment area until his normal state is restored. And you... —His eyes take in the mess in the cafeteria— you'll be in charge of cleaning up.

[Indra]: —His eyes widen— Me?! The King of the Gods, cleaning?! That's absurd!

[Metatron/Jeanne]: —She leans slightly, with an almost mechanical coldness.— That's an order. Order will be restored, with or without your cooperation.

Arjuna lets out a small, stifled sigh, a mixture of resignation and satisfaction, as Metatron takes the confused child Master in her arms with impeccable firmness, walking away from the mess she herself created by imposing order.

Jeanne/Metatron carries the child Master away, while Indra stares in horror at the mess the child Master has made of the cafeteria, which he's now tasked with cleaning up.
