Chapter Text
Hey everyone. This is another new story I'm working on and want to hear your opinions on when the chapters come out. Whilst this will mostly follow the same plot as canon, expect a few differences here and there. Especially where Jaden and his friends are concerned. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.
The sun was shining over the horizon, as Domino City was greeted to another beautiful day.
Today was also a special day, as it was the day where new students would be testing to enter Duel Academy. Any Duelist worth their salt, wanted to get into that academy. Because it was the best way to one day become a professional Duelist, or enter a field connected to the world of Duel Monsters.
The sun's rays flowed into the window of a normal looking apartment building, right into the master bedroom.
There, two individuals were asleep in the room. One had their back to the window, meaning the light wouldn't affect them, whilst the other was asleep on his back and flinched when the light finally touched his face. But he obviously wanted to stay asleep, making him turn his head away from the window.
As he did, something else appeared in the room. Some kind of figure, whose body was transparent like a ghost.
The figure appeared to be some kind of demon, which had a feminine body. Her skin was a purplish pink, with wild bushy hair that was a mix of white and blue. She was wearing black clothing around her chest and waist, whilst her arms and legs were dragonic in appearance. She also had a pair of black wings with the insides the same colour as her skin, whilst on her forehead she had a lizard eye of some kind.
She stared down at the young man and sighed. "Jaden, get up. We need to get going." The eighteen year old moaned, as he still didn't seem to want to get up. "Jaden!" The teen's eyes shot open.
"I'm awake," he moaned as he sat up. "I'm up."
"Good," she nodded. "Don't forget what today is. You need to leave and start getting ready." The teen named Jaden yawned, but nodded as he got out of the bed.
"Alright. I'm on it." He carefully moved about the room and grabbed the clothing that had been thrown about the place the previous night.
He sniffed them and frowned, realising they would need cleaning if he wanted to go out in public. He was gonna need to change before heading off.
Once dressed, Jaden looked back at the bed and stared at his companion from the previous night. She was an older woman, who was currently laying asleep with the blanket being the only thing covering her body. He couldn't help but smile at her slender build and long reddish brown hair, as he finished dressing himself.
"See you around, Mrs. Taylor." With that, he headed for the door and stepped out into the world. But as soon as he closed the door, he turned back to it and placed his hand upon it. "I'll just make this a one time entryway." Yubel nodded and soon, the door was glowing and he pushed it open.
When he did, he found the door led to another place entirely and stepped through it without a second's thought.
He blinked, as he found himself in another bedroom. And when the spirit flew in behind him, her body stopped being transparent. Soon, she was an entirely solid being who floated in place using her wings.
Jaden let out a yawn and began to remove his clothes yet again, as he made his way through the large bedroom that looked like something out of a fantasy setting.
He stepped over to a wardrobe and ripped it open, rifling through it in search of something that would look okay for where he was going. Most of his clothes were fancy looking clothing that one would usually see in an anime. He actually had very little Earth clothing.
After a few moments of searching, he found what he was looking for. A black T-shirt and blue jeans, with a red jacket that was white on the inside and had white pockets on both breasts. He took them out and as he did, the door opened and somebody stepped inside.
It was a woman wearing a pure black maids uniform, with flowing white hair and dragonoid features. Her head had a pair of black horns sticking out of them, which started black but turned white near the tips. Meanwhile, she also had a black dragon tail that was as long as she was tall and was white on the bottom.
The woman stepped into the room and smiled. "My lord. Lady Yubel. I'm glad to see you have both returned."
"Hey, Cehrmba." Jaden smiled, as he moved towards another door. "I'll be out of these clothes soon. Do you mind taking them to be cleaned?"
"Of course, my king. I live to serve you." Jade nodded and headed into the room, which appeared to be a bathroom. "If you'd like, I could join you and help wash your-AH!" She clutched her head, which Yubel had just dealt a karate chop to. "Ow."
"You keep away from his bathroom. The only time you're allowed in there, is when nobody else is. And only to clean it, understand?" Cehrmba moaned, but nodded as Yubel sighed. "Go make yourself useful whilst you're waiting for the clothes and tell Tinkhec to make something for him to eat. He'll need to fuel up for today."
"Understood." The maid left and soon, Yubel was sitting on the bed whilst listening to the shower going off.
A few minutes later, Jaden came out wearing the clothes he had stepped out in. "Thanks, Yubel. Those women can be insatiable."
"You're one to talk," Yubel told him. "You knew we had an important appointment today and despite that, you couldn't help yourself the moment you saw that woman."
"Hey, she was just as eager as I was. Not my fault her husband's been so busy with work, he left her wanting." He moved over to a desk, as Yubel got up and moved towards it as well. "Besides, you're normally happy to have me hook up with ladies. You love to watch." Yubel's eyes widened and a blush appeared on her face.
"I do not. I only care about spreading the genes of the great Supreme King. The more women you bed, the more offspring he has to protect the world from future threats."
"Right, right. By the way, I think it's time we restore my DNA to its original state."
"You sure?"
"If I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do it as Jaden. Not the man I don't even remember being. He had his chance. It's my turn to save the world." Yubel sighed, but nodded.
"Very well." She moved around and placed her hand on his head. "Stay still." Jaden began to glow and did as he was told, letting her do her thing as he thought about what was waiting for him when he left the palace. "You realise this will mean you'll have to be more careful. No more sleeping with every woman you run into. You'll need to either keep it in your pants, be more careful or be willing to become a teen dad."
Jaden sighed, "I know. But I heard that Duel Academy doesn't have that many female students, which I really don't get. I doubt there'll be many girls there that'll get me going. And if so, I'll do as you say and be extra careful." Yubel nodded and as Cehrmba returned with a tray, they finished their little procedure.
"There. Jaden Yuki is back to being Jaden Yuki, even down to the genetic level." Jaden smiled, as his maid placed the food down and went to gather the clothes he had gotten out of before.
Jaden quickly ate the full english breakfast, moaning in delight at the taste. Once he was finished, he got up and began to make sure he had everything he would need. "Good thing I made that doorway near the Kaiba Dome." He placed several items in a backpack and pulled it onto his back.
As he did, something flew in through the window. It was a little ball of fur with eyes, hands, feet and a pair of angelic eyes.
The little creature flew over to him and Jaden chuckled, patting him on the head. "Don't worry, bud. Of course I'm taking you with me. Can't promise I'll end up using your in my Duel. Never know what cards I'll draw when I get there." The little creature smiled with its eyes before Jaden turned towards the door he had originally entered through. "Well, let's get going."
Yubel nodded, as Jaden placed his hand on the door and imagined the place he wanted to go. Soon, the door was glowing as it connected to that place and Jaden opened it up to step through.
He found himself in an alleyway, with a door leading into a side exit of a building. Yubel flew out with him and turned back into her spirit form, the pair smiling as Jaden closed the door to the building. The connection to his world disappeared and he began to make his way out of the alleyway, looking up and seeing a large hill at the end of the street. And that was where his destination was located. The famous Kaiba Stadium, where the Duel Academy Entrance Exams were taking place.
As Jaden made his way towards it, he thought about his written test. One that he thought would have been easy, only to find it was a lot more difficult than he thought.
Despite Jaden having met the monsters and knew a bunch about them personally, he didn't know enough about their actual card effects to answer every question he got. He knew enough and had squeaked through with a barely passing grade, but it meant he would likely be considered one of the worst students when he eventually got in.
"Don't concern yourself too much," another voice told him as a second spirit appeared beside him. It was a humanoid monster that was dressed head to toe in a white suit, with red lines running around it and a blue gem in his chest surrounded by red triangles. "You may end up at the bottom of the school, but where's the fun in starting out at the bottom? Nobody remembers the hero who starts out the best and stays there. They will remember the guy that started out at the bottom and worked his way up."
"Huh," Jaden smirked, "you're right. Yeah, maybe that will be more fun." Yubel rolled her eyes and shook her head, as they made their way up the hill until they arrived at the very top. And there, they spotted a table with two women sitting there and a man in a suit.
"Hello there," one of the women smiled. "Are you here to take the entrance exam?"
"That's right," he nodded. "Jaden Yuki." The women checked the list and nodded.
"Yup. You're on the list."
"You're cutting it close," the man stated. "We were just about to close registration."
"Really? Didn't realise I was so late." He was starting to think that taking such a long shower, enjoying his breakfast to the fullest and slowly walking towards the stadium hadn't been such a good idea. Especially with Yubel shaking her head exasperated. "Well, I made it so that's all that matters." The people nodded, as Jaden headed inside once he got his test number.
As he made his way in, he heard explosions and cheers coming from inside. Clearly, Duels were taking place within the building. And sure enough, he was right. He stepped into a stadium with multiple people sitting in the stands. Meanwhile, more people were down on the main stage.
The arena had been split into multiple several battlefields, several of which had people inside that were Dueling.
His attention was drawn towards one of the Duel Arenas, where a young man was currently in a match with a man who was clearly playing a defensive strategy. The man had Gear Golem the Moving Fortress and Big Shield Gardna, whilst the teen had a Vorse Raider and a Face Down out.
"Huh, cool." Jaden's statement caught the attention of a short blue haired individuals beside him.
Meanwhile, the teen activated his Face Down card. It turned out to be Ring of Destruction, which blew up his Vorse Raider and dealt them both damage. But with the teen's Life Points being higher than Vorse Raider's attack, he stayed in the game. Which was more than could be said about his opponent.
All over the arena, people were impressed by the way he had won. That included a trio of students in blue jackets. "Wow, that kid's pretty good. Huh, Chazz?" A teen with glasses turned to the guy on his right, who was slouched on the seat whilst the guy next to him spoke up.
"Guess the rumours about him being some kind of whizz kid were true. Huh, Chazz? Huh?" The middle teen snickered.
"He's a punk. We went to Duel Prep-School for the past three years. We're ready for the academy. These kids don't know what they're getting into, but they'll learn the hard way. The Chazz Princeton way."
Meanwhile, up at the top of the stands, a blonde girl with a striking figure wearing a blue and white uniform was walking until she spotted someone else. An older teen in his twenties, also wearing a blue and white uniform and a set of dark bluish green hair.
"Hey Zane," she smiled. "So, see anyone down there that might be worth paying attention to?"
"Alexis," the one named Zane nodded. "Unfortunately, no. That Bastion kid has potential, but it'll be a while before he's ready to give me a challenge." Alexis nodded.
"What about your brother? Did he manage to get in"
"Barely." He crossed his arms, "he'll be in for a tough time when he gets to the academy. Mostly likely be considered the worst student in your year." Alexis frowned. Whilst she knew he wasn't trying to be mean, simply speaking the truth, he was still harsh.
Alexis looked back down at the battlefield, wondering if there were going to be any interesting students in her year.
"Wow," Jaden smirked, "that last guy really tore it up!"
"Yeah," the shorter one next to him nodded. "Bastion Misawa. They say he got the highest score on the written exam of all us applicants."
"Wow," Jaden looked impressed, "I just barely passed."
"Yeah, me to. My name's Syrus, by the way. Nice to meet you." He looked down, worried. "I kind of have a thing where I get test anxiety. Don't know how I won my match." Jaden laughed and patted him on the back.
"So you're in!" Syrus was almost knocked over, "congratulations. I'll be in too, as soon as I win my duel."
"Wait, you haven't Dueled yet?"
"Nope."
"Then you might have a problem. I think this was supposed to be the last one." Jaden's eyes widened, as he feared his late arrival might have shot him in the foot.
"Nah," Jaden smirked. "I got signed in, so they have to test me. It's not like I was late or anything." Syrus was amazed at how chill he was, as the boy named Bastion made his way up and actually sat in front of them. "Tight Duel, Bastion." The young man looked up at them, then nodded as he removed his Duel Disk.
"Thank you."
"From the looks of it, you might just be the second best Duelist here." That statement surprised both Bastion and Syrus, as an overhead speaker made an announcement.
"Jaden Yuki, Please report to exam field four."
Jaden smirked, "go time. Wish me luck, guys." He made his way down, only for Bastion to speak up.
"Hey, wait." Jaden glanced back at him. "If I'm the second best, who's first?" Jaden smiled, as he pointed a thumb at himself.
"Yours truly. It's what I'm best at." Bastion seemed amazed by this, as Jaden headed down towards the exam field. Meanwhile, Syrus watched him go and could hardly believe what he was seeing.
"Wow. He's so sure of himself. I wonder if he's really that good."
"He's going to need to be," Bastion stated as he gestured towards the arena. "Look who he's Dueling." Syrus turned towards the fourth exam field and saw a man wearing a blue Duel Blazer. "That's Doctor Vellian Crowler. A teacher at Duel Academy and from what I've heard, he's a strong tactician when it comes to the game. If he's going to win, he's going to have to pull out all the stops."
"I guess. But this is just a test. Even a teacher wouldn't go all out on a student...right?"
"We'll have to wait and see."
The entire audience was drawn in, as they watched Jaden appear on the field. "Alright, test time." Jaden turned to the man, who was now equipped in a pretty interesting piece of gear. It looked like a Duel Disk that had the main unit on his chest. Meanwhile, the blade was hanging from his shoulder and he was holding it like a guitar. "So, son, your name?"
"Jaded," the teen announced. "Jaden Yuki."
"Well, um, Jaden Yuki. I'm Doctor Vellian Crowler, department chair of techniques here at Duel Academy."
"Huh," Jaden nodded. "Nice to meet you. Wow. I must have really impressed the higher-ups, if I get a department chair as my teacher." He removed his backpack. "Well you won't be disappointed. I'll show you a Duel you won't ever forget."
"Yes," Crowler nodded. "Though it appears you're not even prepared for your Duel. After all, you don't even have a Duel Disk." He chuckled, only for Jaden to chuckle back.
"Oh, I've got a Duel Disk." He suddenly pulled something out of his backpack, which was too small for a normal Duel Disk to be placed with. It was a strange metal hexagon, with an empty space in the middle bottom and a glass screen near the top.
Everyone who saw it looked confused, as Jaden placed it on his arm and the device wrapped around it. Jaden then reached behind him and removed something from his belt. A metal box, which he attacked to the device's empty space. The next thing everyone knew, the device activated and an arm folded out with something on the end of it.
It looked like the space one would see on a Duel Disk, which then folded out four more to create a Duel Disk. "What do you think?"
Crowler stared at it in amazement, having never seen such a slick Duel Disk before. "Where in the world did you get that?" He activated his own Duel Disk and the pair linked, showing that the device was a functioning Duel Disk.
Meanwhile, Jaden just smiled. "Oh, you know. I've done a lot of travelling. Been to a bunch of different places and seen a lot of amazing things. I just happened to pick this up along the way. Hope you don't mind me using this."
Crowler hummed. "Whatever. Having a fancy looking Duel Disk means nothing, if you don't have the skills needed to use it. So let's see what you can do, my young scholar friend. I am what's standing between you and admittance to Duel Academy. And I intend to do whatever it takes to stop you from entering."
Jaden nodded, as he reached for his Duel Disk. "Fine by me. This wouldn't be any fun if you weren't going all out." Crowler nodded, as their Life Points filled up and the pair spoke in unison. "SO LET'S DUEL!"
Jaden: 8000
Crowler: 8000
"Here goes!" Jaden cheered, drawing his card and smiling when he saw the ones he had. Yubel also saw his cards and could already see the plan forming in his mind. "Perfect. I summon Elemental Hero, Neo Clayman, in DEF Mode!" He slapped the card down on his Duel Disk and a bright flash of light appeared before him.
From out of the light, a large rock appeared before shattering to pieces. From it, a monster that looked like Clayman appeared. Only this one had a bunch of patterns carved into his clay body, as he knelt down and crossed his arms. (A800/D2000/L4) "I'll then place a card face down and end my turn.
"Neo Clayman?" Crowler asked, having never heard of that card. "Strange. Must be a new card I haven't seen yet." The other people watching were just as confused, as nobody had ever heard of a Neo Clayman before.
"You think it could be a fake?" One of Chazz's friends asked, but the other shook his head.
"If it was, his Duel Disk wouldn't have recognised it. It must be real." Chazz hummed, wondering where this kid got such a card.
"Now then," Jaden told his examiner. "Get your game on!"
"Yes, very good." Crowler drew a card from his vest, "don't tell me what to do." He looked through his cards and smiled. Since he was using his own personal deck, instead of a test one, he would be calling all the shots and fail this brat in no time at all. "Alright. For this first move. I think I'll start out nice and easy. I choose to play the Spell Card, Confiscation."
Jaden frowned. "Okay. So you get to take a card from my hand. Go ahead." Crowler smiled, as he paid the cost to activate the card.
Jaden: 8000
Crowler: 7000
Jaden's cards soon became large holograms, the four floating in front of Crowler as he looked them over. There was Monster Reborn, Fake Hero and two cards he hadn't seen before. He quickly read though those two cards and frowned, as he realised they had effects that required them to be in the Graveyard.
'Who is this boy? How does he have cards I've never seen before?' He shook his head and focused, not wanting to lose face. "Yes, I remember some of these from back when I was a naive rookie." Jaden stared at him some more, as he picked one. "Monster Reborn to the Graveyard."
Jaden watched the holograms vanish, as he placed the card chosen into his grave. "You might regret that."
"I doubt it. Now, I place two cards face down and activate the Spell Card, Heavy Storm." Suddenly, a powerful gale whipped up and Jaden flinched as his face down card was thrown into the air. "With this card, I can destroy every single Spell and Trap Card out on the field."
Jaden watched his Draining Shield vanish, along with Crowler's own face downs. "I'm betting you had a reason for wanting those cards in the grave," he suggested. And sure enough, a bunch of dark smoke appeared from out of the ground around Crowler's feet.
"What's going on?" Syrus asked, looking scared whilst Bastion hummed. And soon, something appeared out of the smoke. Some kind of worm creatures, made of gold with little T-rex arms. (A1000/D1000/L4)X2
"Those cards were both Statue of the Wicked Traps, which when destroyed create a Wicked Token. And since he destroyed two, he got two tokens."
"Oh," Syrus nodded, "but those monsters aren't all that strong. It can't beat Jaden's Clayman."
"Maybe not. But they can be used for something else." Syrus wondered what he meant, until Crowler spoke.
"And now, I sacrifice my two Wicked Tokens!" The worms disappeared in a burst of light, which began to swirl together to form an even larger creature. "In order to summon my all powerful...ANCIENT GEAR GOLEM!" From out of the light, a giant mechanical human made of rusted metal and gears appeared. It stood over twelve meters tall and looked able to crush anything it struck. (A3000/D3000/L8)
Everyone was amazed by the light of the legendary rare monster, which had only been spoken about in Dueling legend. And now, they would get to see what made it so legendary.
Jaden, meanwhile, simply stared it down with a smirk on his face. "Now then, young scholar, I hope you aren't too intimidated by my legendary Ancient Gear Golem."
Jaden smirked, "of course not. I've always wanted to take one on." Crowler frowned, whilst everyone else was amazed by Jaden's guts...or insanity.
Yubel chuckled, "you're gonna give him a brain bleed." Jaden smirked, "just be careful. Don't get overconfident. There's no telling what that last card he has might be." Jaden stared at the card, as Crowler pointed at his monster.
"I'll make you learn to respect my Golem. Attack that Clayman!" The giant machine pulled back its fist. "Mechanised Melee!" The robot threw the fist towards Neo Clayman. But as it did, Jaden removed a card from his hand and sent it to the grave.
"I activate Neo Clayman's special ability." The fist slammed into the hero, but he managed to endure it as the marks covering his body glowed. "By ditching a card from my hand, I can prevent his destruction." Crowler frowned, having not expected that.
"You might have saved your monster, but not your life points." The force of the impact flew past Clayman and slammed into Jaden, almost knocking him off his feet. "Thanks to my Golem's ability, even if your monster's in defence mode, you'll still take the damage."
Jaden: 7000
Crowler: 7000
Jaden panted, as Ancient Gear Golem pulled its fist back. The teen, then smirked as he removed his deck from the slot. "Well the card I sent to my grave was a Spell called Neo Distress Call. You must have seen what it does, right?" Crowler frowned, as he started flipping through his deck. "When it's sent to the grave, I can move two monsters with Neos or Neo Spacian in their names from my deck to my hand."
Up in the stands, Zane frowned. "Neo Clayman, now this Neos and Neo Spacian. I've never heard of these cards before."
Alexis hummed. "Makes me wonder what else this guy has hidden away in his deck." They watched as Jaden took two cards out of his deck and showed them to Crowler.
"I'm adding Elemental Hero Neos and Neo Spacian Aqua Dolphin to my hand!" He placed them in his hand before shuffling his deck, as he looked up at the monster looming above him. "That thing's pretty rad. Now I really wanna go to this school."
Crowler growled, as he ended his turn. "I'll admit, you've done better than I thought. But against a monster this strong, what hope do you have?"
"Well let's find out," Jaden smiled as he reached for his deck and drew a card. When he did, his eyes widened before a sly smirk appeared on his lips. "Oh, this is gonna be good." Crowler frowned, wondering what he had planned. "First, I activate the Spell Card Fake Hero!" The Spell appeared, unleashing a light as Jaden grabbed another card. "Now, I can special summon an Element Hero to my field. The only downside is it can't attack this turn. And during the End Phase, I gotta send it back where I got it."
"Then why bother using it?" Crowler asked, as the light from Fake Hero grew brighter.
"You'll see," Jaden announced. "Now, let's give a big Duel Academy welcome to Element Hero...NEOS!" The light took form and exploded away to reveal the cosmic super hero, he flew down and landed on the field beside Neo Clayman. (A2500/D2000/L7)
Everyone stared at the hero in amazement, never having seen anything like him. This included Crowler, who frowned as he stared at the monster whilst Jaden smirked.
"So...teach. What do you think?"
Crowler's frown turned to a smirk. "I think you're Dueling very well, for an armature. But next time, try playing a monster that has more attack points than what's already out. Not that it matters, since you yourself said you couldn't attack with that card. So I'm still wondering what hope that hero has of defeating my Golem."
"Who said anything about defeating your Golem?" Jaden smirked, "I'm planning on using him."
"Using him?" Crowler asked, as Jaden took two cards from his hand.
"That's right. And this is how. I discard one card from my hand to activate this Spell Card, SUPER POLYMERISATION!" The Spell activated, creating a large portal in the sky.
Crowler gasped, as a powerful gust of wind appeared and was trying to suck him up into the portal. "What is that? Super Polymerisation? I've never heard of such a card!"
"Well you're about to see what it can do!" Jaden announced, as Neos leapt up towards the portal. "Now I fuse my Elemental Hero Neos...with your Ancient Gear Golem!"
"WHAT!?" Everyone watching screamed, as Ancient Gear Golem was suddenly sucked up into the portal with Neos. "That's not possible!" Crowler cried, as he watched his precious monster disappear and begin to merge with his opponent's card.
Jaden smirked. "Meet the merging of justice and mechanical might. I Fusion Summon The Elemental Hero, NEOS CYBORG!" The portal exploded and from out of it, a new Digimon appeared. One that resembled Neos, only now he was wearing futuristic armor.
His chest had silver armor, with a pair of mechanical wings coming off the back that were split into three with energy blasts exploding out from between them. Its legs were entirely robotic from the knee down, whilst the arms were encased in cybernetic armor. He was also wearing a helmet over his normal head, with his left eye covered by some kind of mechanical eye-patch. And connected to his mechanical waist armor were a pair of laser blasters that looked like they could spin to point forwards and backwards. (A2500/D1000/L7)
Crowler was still in shock, as the monster flew down and landed beside Neo Clayman. "Cheater!" He cried, pointing at him. "You have to be cheating! There's no way that kind of card is legal. You must be cheating!"
Jaden frowned, "I'm not cheating. Super Polymerisation is just a really good card."
"Liar. You just stole my monster and fused it into yours with one card. How is that fair?"
"Well, technically, I didn't just use one card. Since I had to ditch a card to use it. In a way, Super Polymerisation is just like using a regular Polymerisation and a Change of Heart card. If I used those two cards, we'd still be in this situation without you complaining. So how is this card unfair."
The crowd were all starting to think the same thing. "He's right," Alexis nodded. "It's a powerful card, but it's still balanced."
"And it's not actually as powerful as he's made it look," Zane announced. "I'm guessing that Neos Cyborg requires Neos and a Machine Monster. If he was battling against Dragon or Zombie-Type monsters, he probably wouldn't be able to use that Super Polymerisation. He just got lucky with the materials."
"I guess," Alexis nodded. "But I wonder what else he can make with it."
"Now for Neos Cyborg's special ability!" Jaden cheered. "His attack points are boosted by half the ATK of the Machine used to Fusion Summon him!" Neos Cyborg roared, as the armor began to glow and his power increased by fifteen hundred.(A4000/D1000/L7)
Crowler gasped, as Jaden then had Neo Clayman switch to Attack Mode. "It's fine. Those monsters won't be enough to defeat me."
"Neo Clayman, attack with Clay Clobberer!" Clayman rushed forward, as Jaden reached for his Duel Disk. "Next, I activate the effect of a Trap in my Grave. Hero Guts."
"That's the card he discarded for Super Polymerisation," Bastion realised. "Smart move." Everyone watched, as the Trap appeared in front of him.
"By banishing this card, I can increase the Attack of an Element Hero by half his Defence until the end of the Damage Step!" (A1800/D2000/L4) Soon, Neo Clayman reached Crowler and slammed his fist into the man's chest.
"Augh!" He cried, getting knocked back as his points dropped.
Jaden: 7000
Crowler: 5200
"Now, Neos Cyborg. Get him!" The wings on his Fusion Monster ignited and propelled the hero forward before he also slammed his fist into Crowler, making him scream as he was knocked off his feet.
Jaden: 7000
Crowler: 1200
Jaden smiled, whilst Crowler pushed himself up. "You...haven't won yet. I still have points left." He didn't know how he was going to come back from this, but he refused to be defeated by a filthy cheater like him.
However, Jaden just smiled before discarding the last card in his hand. "Sorry, but that's about to change. Thanks to Neos Cyborg's final ability." In a flash of light, a humanoid dolphin appeared with its arms crossed. "Whenever he deals damage to my opponent, I can discard a monster and deal you damage."
"How much?" Crowler asked, as Aqua Dolphin glowed.
"Just four hundred points," Jaden stated as Crowler sighed in relief. "Four hundred for every Level my Dolphin has."
"Wait," Crowler cried, "time out!" Aqua Dolphin transformed into a stream of light, which flew over to Neos Cyborg as the monster's check armor opened. Doing so revealed a round tube, which the light flew into before it closed up again.
"Go!" Jaden cried, as Neos Cyborg grabbed the blasters on his hips. "Neos Laser!" The blasters fired, the lasers they unleashed shooting towards Crowler.
Crowler could only scream, as the laser slammed into him and exploded. That caused Crowler to be sent flying backwards, as the cards from his deck went flying everywhere whilst his Life Points dropped.
Jaden: 7000 (Winner)
Crowler: 0
The holograms all vanished, as Jaden gave his tester a finger salute. "That's game!" He smirked, "so I guess I passed the test. Huh, teach?" Crowler pushed himself up, still shocked by what had just happened.
"Im...impossible. There's no way this delinquent could defeat me." The other students watching, all thought the same thing. Chazz thought it was some kind of trick, whilst Alexis smiled.
"That kid's got a future here. Huh, Zane." She turned to the guy, who seemed intrigued by him.
"We'll have to see. If he continues to impress, I might decide to Duel him myself." He was going to keep a very close eye on Jaden, who smiled as he made his way out of the Duel Field. As he did, he gathered all the cards in his graveyard to slow them back into his deck box before removing it.
That caused his Duel Disk to fold back into the hexagon shape, allowing Jaden to easily pocket it. He also held up the Neos Cyborg card, which glowed before transforming. From the back, it looked like a perfectly normal Duel Card. But the front was pure white, signalling its ability to become any card that Jaden needed.
He smirked and placed it into his Extra Deck, which was full of other white cards. As he did, Yubel appeared with a smile on her face. "Well done, Jaden. You showed everyone here that you're someone to keep an eye on. No doubt, you'll have people wanting to Duel you constantly."
Jaden nodded, as he headed into the main hall. "Good. We need to get stronger. And hopefully, find allies. If we're to defeat what's coming, we need to be as strong as possible." He looked up at all the different people in the stands, as his eyes glowed gold for a second. As they did, everyone was surrounded by a strange aura.
Some were a murky gray, whilst others were a lighter white colour. A few were faint yellow, whilst one particular aura was a glowing bright gold.
Seeing that made Jaden stop, as he focused on the individual in question. A girl about his age, with blonde hair and a killer body. But the aura she had was so bright, only one person in the entire building was brighter.
Jaden stared down at his own arm, which was surrounded by a golden aura that was blazing brightly. The most powerful Duel Aura of his generation. But even that wasn't going to be enough to stop what was coming. Jaden had to find as many powerful allies as possible. Or the entire world was doomed.
Well, there's the first chapter. You've probably noticed that Jaden now has his Neos Space Cards on him along with Super Polymerization. Will we learn how he got them? Just have to wait and find out. Please tell me what you think so far. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts and suggestions.
