Unknowingly Husbands

Summary:

“What do you mean i’m already married?!” Bakugo yelled, slamming his fist on the desk. The venue was decorated and ready, the honeymoon was booked. He was meant to be married tomorrow, and apparently he already was.

The man at the desk sighed, as if already tired only two hours into his shift. “I’m sorry, mr. Bakugo, but you’re already married in our records, and bigamy is a crime in Japan.” He paused, and his eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke in a more serious tone. “Since it seems like you were unaware, I’ll let this one go. But know that any attempt made to go forward with this second marriage will be null and void, and illegal.”

Bakugo sighed, leaning back in the crappy plastic chair that creaked under his weight, crossing his arms. He began tapping his foot, trying to let out his anger in a more peaceful way, like Miu had scolded him to on multiple occasions. “I just don’t get it .. how could I possibly-“ He stopped tapping his foot, stopped breathing for a moment. The air stilled. Because he did remember. The exact moment he got married. A moment he didn’t think was important anymore. It had been years ago.

Sake.

The stars and the night sky.

Kirishima.

Notes:

This is my first fic, so I’m still experimenting and tweaking, but I hope you like it!!

Chapter Text

Kirishima.

The air felt like it was gone, the room seeming warm and stuffy, and uncomfortable to sit in. He needed to leave, he needed fresh air.

He needed to talk to Kirishima.

But he couldn’t. They hadn’t spoken since graduation. At UA. Four years ago.

Bakugo stood up from his chair, clenching his fists as he tried to regulate his breathing and calm down. The chair fell behind him, the noise practically deafening in the silence of the office. He forced a smile, and whispered “Can you give me a moment?” The man nodded, and gestured to the doors. Bakugo walked over, swinging the door open and taking a deep breath of the cold air of February. Miu was worried that the wedding was gonna be cold tomorrow, discussing possibly giving the guests blankets until it got later in the day and warmer.

Now that wouldn’t be a problem.

The puffs of air from his mouth were visible in the cold air, quick and constant. He shakily turned on his phone on, feeling his heart sink as he was met with his lock screen. His proposal to Miu. The beautiful cherry blossoms of the past spring falling behind them. The soft colors of the trees and the sky contrasting her bright red hair beautifully. They both looked so happy. He took a deep breath, opening his phone and going to his phone app in an attempt to almost get away from that photo. His thumb hesitated over Miu’s contact, simply her name with a red heart next to it, before he clicked on it and held his phone to his ear.

A ring.

Another ring.

And then

“What’s up babe?”
