It was another day at Toronto... The birds are singing... Flowers are blooming... And a particular Allyson Amber was panicking.

"Ally's POV, 14:37pm..."
"..."
"ShitshitshitshitSHIT!"
... So, for some context... I may or may not be 37 minutes late to an arcade date with Tess...
God. My first date with girl and I still somehow fuck that up, great going Allyson Amber! Great going!
Now how did that happen you may ask? Well, back to a couples months after my breakup with Hunter I may or may not have developed homosexual feelings for my best friend Tess.
It took me about 3 months to realize that. then another 4 months to confess. And when I did confess oh my god was it was the most awkward moment in my life because imaginebreakingupwithyourboyfriendbeforedatinghisbestfriendand oh. My bad I'm talking too much.
Anyways... Me and Tess are now dating! ... Except I'm now 39 minutes late to the date. I should probably get going...!
As I say goodbye to my cat I quickly open and close the door as I leave to get to my car.
As I got into the car and started the engine... Everything was going quite well actually. I saw Ellie helping Gabby at the florist, which was nice. Then I saw Aiden and Jake coming out of the cinemas together, and then there's- holy shit I forgot to get Tess a gift.
If me being late to the date wasn't already bad enough, getting her nothing would be worse.
So I immediately drove over to the florist Ellie and Gabby was at to buy flowers.
...
"Ally, Ellie and Gabby's POV. 14:44pm."
Ally walks into the florist. The place is decorated with many varieties of flowers. There's roses, violets, lilies, and even some lavender.
Ally then walks up to Ellie and Gabby before speaking.
Ally: "Uh... Hello!"
Both Ellie and Gabby look over at Ally. Stopping whatever they were doing.
Gabby: "Oh hihihi!!! What brings you here?"
Gabby was overly excited as usual... Oh well a bit of positivity doesn't hurt.
Ally: "Say... Do you have any flowers...? specifically roses. I want to get some. And fast."
Gabby: "Oh! We have loads! Ellie, can you get me some?"
Ellie: "Sure. Is there any specific colours you want?"
Ally: "Hm... I think Some white ones will work?"
As Ally says that. Ellie then immediately pulls out a bouquet of white rose decorated with bows coloured in a very light shade of orange. (Reminds myself of Tess now that I think about it.)
Ally: "Ooo those are perfect! I'll take them!"
Ellie: "Glad you like them! That will be... Uh wait, how much do they cost again?"
Gabby: "Uh... Just give them to Ally for free, she is our friend anyways and we have plenty!"
Ellie: "Well. If you say so love!"
Ellie then proceeds to hand the bouquet of white roses to Ally.
Ally: "Oh! Thank you two I appreciate it! I really need to get going now, it was nice catching up with you two!"
Gabby: "See ya bestie!!"
And with that. Ally takes the bouquet before getting in the car and driving off again and oh my god I'm even more late.
...
Gabby: "... Say, what do you think she needed those flowers for?"
Ellie: "I honestly don't know, I'm pretty sure it's for someone though."
...
"Tess's POV, 15:03pm..."
...
"Oh dear."
So... Me and Ally agreed to a date at the arcade in her area and it has been about an hour since she was meant to arrive. Is she ok? Is she hurt? Did she have another pointless argument with a hater online?
Regardless I she's doing well. I really do.
While I was waiting... I may or may not have played on one of the claw machines and won her a stuffed cat plushie. Technically I wasn't meant to start playing without her but then again it was a really cute plush... Plus I thought she'd like it.
... It's definitely not because I forgot to get her something.
Anyways that's besides the point. I'm still quite worried as it has been-
Right before they were about to finish Ally basically kicks the arcade door open.

"Both of their POVS, 15:10pm."

Tess: "..."
Ally: "..."
Ally: "... Oh my god Tess I am so sorry for being late I overslept and I stopped by at the florist to get you flowers and almost crashed the car driving too fast and-"
Tess: "Woah woah woah Ally! It's ok! Thank you for getting me flowers I appreciate your thoughtfulness and- Hold on a moment you almost did what now."
Ally: "... How about you take the flowers and change the topic!"
Tess then takes the flower bouquet from Ally.
Tess: "... Thank you Ally. Oh yeah I also got you this!"
Tess then hands Ally a stuffed cat plushie.
Ally: "Ohmygod IT'S ADORABLE!! THANK YOU!!!"
Tess: "Of course, I thought you would've liked it!"
Ally: "I do! Thank yo- Wait hold on didn't we both agree we weren't going to play in the arcade unless both of us were present?"
Tess: "Oh! I uh... Couldn't help myself...?"
Ally: "..."
Tess: "..."
Tess: "Please forgive me IjustreallywantedtogetyousomethingnicebecauseIknewyouweregoingtogetmesomethinganditwouldonlybefairifIdidthesame."
Ally: "Wait nono, it's fine! You shouldn't apologise for that."
Tess: "Well if you say so... Now... Let's go play, shall we?"
Ally: "Oh hell yeah! Let's go!"
And so, the two socially awkward lovers finally started their date. (Right as this chapter ends lol)
