A Sixtacular Reunion Sequel - 30 years on

Summary:

This story started a while ago and I only just managed to complete it. It’s 30 years after the original Sixtacular reunion story so as that was an unspecified time after the end of the series, this ends up being in around 2004 so some characters are no longer with us, but no actual deaths occur in the story.

The characters/situations that have happened imbetween are not from any other story, the idea is that you work out or guess what might have happened in the years imbetween. This isn’t in any of my other AUs though some of the names and couples match others.

Chapter Text

30 Years later

The reunion had been a great success.

The Old Girls and Staff were happily tired after a busy weekend, and were grateful to be directed to the final event of the day, a film showing in the Denny auditorium. They made their way to their seats, chattering and having cross conversations even while the doors were shut and the lights dimmed. There was a small envelope on each seat, with the words “Do not open yet” printed on the front in neat font and surrounded by a beautiful medieval style design with various items. The people who were not chatting were busy comparing the designs, for there were several different versions.

“I’ve a pair of high heels on mine, and some horses, and what are those repeated patterns? Ah, yes you are right, they look like crowns…”

“Nothing like that on mine, there are some people and numbers - 6s and 9s…or maybe just 6s perhaps?”

“Hey, have you seen that the designs are different? What have you got on yours?”

The stage curtains were closed, and as the lights dimmed an orchestra started up. The curtains opened to show a dark stage, with shadowy figures standing behind microphones. At a gap in the music, three of the performers were suddenly lit up under spotlights, and a cheer went up from a section containing some of the most recent Old Girls. The three young women looked so similar to each other that it was almost as if it was an illusion and only one person was there reflected in mirrors. They exchanged a glance and then all spoke together, which added to the illusion effect.

“Good evening and welcome to our show! For those of you who don’t know us, we are the Bettany Triplets…”
