The moment you realize you love someone is a moment to be remembered forever. They ramble on and on about something, and at first you’re listening, but then you pay more attention to them, and how animated their voice sounds, and how happy and vibrant and alive they are, and how their eyes light up with joy, and it hits you like a weight - I love this person.
And then there’s no going back. You’ll love them forever, even if years pass and you never talk again, you have loved and you always will.
And there comes a point in time when they’re hurting and it hurts you to see them in so much pain, but you can’t help them, there’s nothing you can do but stand and watch them hurting and give them all your love but it doesn’t help.
And you don’t want to lose them.
But you know they'll never find peace if you stay.
