Chapter Text
The train whistle screamed in Eleanor's ear as she looked out the window. The magic train was apparently /not/ as quiet as she remembered. Or last year, she just had headphones in. Either way, the train was almost to its destination. Eleanor made a mental list of what she needed. Books, more books, and her wand. Any other supplies she could just get from the Maalechaus Library next time she visited. Twisting the rosewood wand in her hand, Eleanor nervously adjusted her hair.
This year would be fine. Only first-years panicked. So, steeling her resolve, Eleanor tore her gaze from the window and looked at her father. Rickolous Wallsnapper. Professor of Wizard Languages.
"So, Elly, excited for another year?" Rickolous asked, flashing a familiar smile. He was always upbeat.
"Yeah, the first year was pretty... interesting. If you could call being chased by a hydra-hound interesting." Eleanor chuckled, covering her face. She and Freyea went on a flight. It was so exhilarating, except for the part where they flew into a cave full of bats. Speaking of, half of Eleanor was actually excited for the Academy. Freyea and Camille were her best friends. Freyea was loud, energetic and always getting in trouble. But she did get Eleanor out of her shell. Freyea was the top student on their teelball team.
