(REMAKE COMING/ABANDONED) DSMP X Revival + The Unofficial Rewrite

Summary:

The loading screen blinked as the world was generated in a matter of seconds. At least, it appeared to be only a few seconds. In reality (or video game reality), centuries of history, memories, and landmarks were built in the blink of an eye. In truth, we can only assume that what happens behind the screen is very little. But there's a whole other dimension underneath the keyboard as you type your insignificant thoughts.
The more people that joined the server, the more stories that were being made beyond the players' comprehension. The characters they played had already lived their entire lives, and now they're just inhabiting the body as they explore their own lore as they go. When Tommy first joined the server, what felt like just a couple of seconds of loading in was 16 years for the character.

Abandoned work, remake is on it's way (ironic right?)

Chapter 1: CONTEXT BEFORE READING

Chapter Text

Story Status: Chapter 2 is in the works

TW: Mentions of smoking, war, "potions", toxic relationships, and Wilbur

THIS STORY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE IRLs.

In this AU, servers are basically galaxies. Whenever a server is created, so are its people, livestock, etc. Every server is put into a Minecraft Earth (Utah exists, British ppl, etc). Whenever someone new joins a server, their in-game self receives a backstory, a personality, and memories scripted simply by fate. Like they have always been a part of the world. For example, when Tommy first joined, his in-game self was given a backstory within his code.

In short, it's The LEGO Movie

"But what happens when the irl person logs off the server?" The character enters *free roam* where their actions are not controlled by their IRL player.

"What about the 3 life system? Does that still apply?" Yes and no. While the irl creators did make that rule up, the in-game people just experience major pain whenever they 'lose a life'. When they DO lose 3 lives, then they die. However, the in-game people are not aware of this rule. Death to them is like death to us.

"Are the in-game people aware they are in a game?" No. Like I said, backstories are written for them, so there's no way they could know they were in a game. (but that may change...hehe)

I'm really sorry to any DSMP members who might find out about this rewrite, especially since it involves creators you're not associated with anymore. I am just writing about what happened in the canon lore and rewriting it in my own AU. I swear it's all just for fun because I really liked the story, even if I don't support some of the creators who were a part of it. Again, apologies, and I wish you the best of luck.

This is safe for work. I know that the original story did contain some swearing or adult themes, but I'm a minor, and I'm not comfortable writing about those topics. There will be no swearing, which may distract you from the OG, and I'm sorry, but please respect my decisions.

There's obviously going to be a lot of changes to the characters, story, etc. This is because I've given a lot of headcanons to the characters, so they may act differently from how they're perceived in the original. I've tried my best to keep most of their personalities the same, though.

This is just for fun!

I will not say who I do or don't support within the DSMP fandom. After all, these are simply the characters they play, not the irl versions.

Please respect my headcanons.

I am so sorry if I get any names or characters mixed up. I'm not a die-hard DSMP fan, so I don't know every single person who's been on the server.

Jesus loves you <3 thank you sm for all the support and love ^W^

HAVE A FUN READ <3
