Silver Height Collegaite Institute. The top boarding school in the area. Actually, it’s probably top 5 in the world. It’s has a grand campus like it’s own small town and the elegant architecture will sure make your mouth drop open when you see it. Well unless your a rich kid-which most people attending are.
Attending this school sure is a privilege.
Felix Emiss stood by the score board in the general house, fists clenched and seething. Once again Astor had beat him. Worst of all it was by one point!
You really need to get better Felix. One point? That’s so pathetic. No ones going to love you when you fail this badly.
Said a voice in his head with the same scolding tone as his parents.
He needed to be first. He needed to makes his parents proud. He needed to live up to their expectations. Expectations set by his older brother.
Kai had been exceptional. Always perfect grades and always top of his grade. Mockingly, it was with barely any effort (Kai loved to rub it in) while Felix worked terribly hard and still achieved nothing.
Your so pathetic.
While he was spiralling, staring blankly at the board, letting his harsh self criticism eat alive, Astor spotted him. Astor, casual as ever, swung his arm onto Felix’s shoulder putting all his weight on him. It caused Felix to stumble a bit, in return stopping his internal spiralling.
”What’s the look for?”
Astor asked glancing up at the board. Noticing how he was first and how he was better than Felix.
”Oh, I’m first again. Nothing new though”
He said with a teasing chuckle. With a closer look at the scores he noticed how he was one point above Felix. He sucked air through his teeth.
”One point. Tough luck dude.”
Felix turned his disappointment to anger and directed that at Astor.
”Get the Fuck of me”
He muttered rolling his eyes and giving Astor a big old push.
Astor stumbled over to the side, then laughed like nothing happened.
”Someone’s not happy with their score,” He said ”But hey, I’m sure you’ll beat me one day, I don’t even try that hard on my exams, Or care what i get really”
Astor shrugged with a smile. He was so… Happy and unworried all the time. Felix didn’t know how he did it. It angered him. Not to mention the care free attitude towards exams, or not trying hard at all. That made Felix scowl.
”Leave me alone” He growled at him, brows furrowed.
”Geez rude much. I was just being nice. Anways, the main reason I wanted to talk to you is to ask you if you have any plans this exeat because me and a couple friends are going to hang out in town and I know your always super lonely and i’m the only person who talks to you.”
”That’s because friends are a waste of time.” He said crossing his arms. ”And why would i ever spend time with you of all people”
”Hey, If it weren’t for the rumours going around that your a lonely loser i wouldn’t have invited you because your introverted and stuff. I care about you bud.”
”Don’t call me that” He replied, but what he had said did interest him. He main focus on being the best but his brother was also liked, so he also had to be liked. He can’t be liked when rumours are spread about him. He sighed.
”Fine i’ll hang out or whatever.” He said already regretting his decision.
”Sick, Alright see you Saturday.”
And then Astor left waving him off with that pretty, big grin of his. He’s was so happy all the time and it annoyed Felix. He scoffed at his goodbye and went back to his dorm. The thoughts of his failure filling up his mind again.
