After his plans were foiled again at the hands of Cale Henituse, the White Star knew he needs to make drastic measures.
Nearly a thousand years of preparation, all brought down by a single individual. By all accounts, it does not make any sense, and White Star’s sensibilities can’t accept this defeat that easily.
And so, White Star plots.
He plots out his perfect plan in his bedroom wall, all day and all night, full of strings and tacks, scribbles and cutouts. Every piece of information he has, everything that went wrong, and everything that went right. He connected threads, mapped out his resources, formulated theories and wrote down possible solutions. Documents and maps and pictures.
White Star put it all on the wall.
At the center of it all: Cale Henituse.
White Star stares at that picture. It is Cale in his commander uniform, looking majestic and imposing and... gorgeous.
Yes, as his natural enemy, it is only right that Cale Henituse be as glorious as his own self.
Gazing at the commander’s beautiful form, a thought suddenly formed in the White Star’s mind.
If he can’t defeat Cale Henituse after all the preparations he has done, then he should...
A smile forms on White Star's lips.
The next day, he sets out.
Cale Henituse stares open mouthed at the sky above the Henituse Territory.
His surprise is short however, immediately moving into action. He barks orders to his people and everyone moved to position in order to protect their home. He then positions himself in the balcony, where he can fully see the sky and the territory.
Just as he was about to use the shield...
"CALE HENITUSE!"
The White Star, who is floating menacingly in the sky, shouts loud and clear, his voice enhanced with an amplification spell.
Everyone tenses, all eyes on the sky. No one expected for the White Star to suddenly appear like this, and everyone braces for an attack any moment now.
But then,
A banner unfurls in the sky and flower petals began raining down on them.
Cale's eyes shook at the words he reads on the banner.
It says:
"YOU WILL MARRY ME"
Not long later several explosions happened. Brightly colored explosions of black and gold and red among others. There were shouts and screams. A fog starts covering Cale and several shields surround him.
Somewhere along his right he could hear Choi Han shouting: "CALE-NIM WILL NOT BE MARRYING YOU, YOU BASTARD!!"
On his mind he could hear a very, very mad 6 year old, "Human you will not marry that! That! That White Radish! He will not be part of our family!! I won't allow it!!!"
Similar sentiments could be heard around him. Cale could even see his father raising his fists in the sky and screaming profanities, being held back by the knights from charging ahead.
"CALE HENITUSE YOU WILL BE MY SPOUSE!" White Star continues while defending from attacks, seemingly unbothered by the attacks on multiple fronts.
Seeing all the chaos around him, Cale assess the situation and sighs, picking up the circling kittens at his feet and patting the head of the invisible Raon on his shoulder.
"You will not marry him right? Right?" Hong fearfully asks, big teary eyes looking up at Cale. Beside him Ohn rubs her head on his chin, mumbling “You can’t marry him you can’t!”
Cale smiles.
"Of course not," he says casually, "the bastard didn't even bring me a ring."
The children gasps.
It goes quiet.
Cale blinks and looks around. Everyone is staring at him in disbelief.
"So if I bring a ring, you will accept?"
White Star says, looking intently at him. He has come down from the sky, floating outside the balcony where Cale is, his cape billowing in the wind and his expression completely serious.
"No, that's not—"
"I see. I will be back with a better proposal and a ring"
White Star turns to leave and he and his minions teleports away, leaving just as quickly as he came.
A moment of silence and then,
"YOU CAN'T MARRY HIM CALE-NIM!"
"It seems the young master has been acting foolish."
"You! Hah...unlucky bastard."
"MY SON YOU CAN'T!"
"Please! Anyone but him!"
‘But I didn’t do anything!’ In the face of his outraged family, Cale felt wronged, ‘I was literally just standing there!’
It took Cale a long time to convince everyone that he won't be marrying anyone, the least of all White Star. He even said that the only one he's going to marry is his slacker life.
His family didn't buy it though, not when Cale almost agreed when White Star showed up with a literal mountain of treasures and a ring a month later.
Thus ends the war that started another war.
A war for the hand of Cale Henituse.
