FMK

Summary:

MC is working a bar shift at Obscuary when Haru decides he wants to play a game. Absolute fluff with no redeeming qualities.

Notes:

Don't own anything, just splashing my feet in the water. MC is Macy for the hell of it.

Work Text:

“Hey, new girl. C’mere.” Haru’s tipsy giggle drew Macy down to the end of the bar.

“Do you need another drink?” she asked. Haru nodded vigorously and over-balanced, clutching at the smooth wooden counter to hold himself upright.

“Yep. But I wanna play a game. Play with me?” His eyes were glassy as he blinked at her, a sloppy smile plastered across his face. Pouring him water, she added a splash of juice for color, putting it in front of him. He was too drunk to notice anyway.

“Okay, Haru. What do you want to play?” She leaned on her folded arms, smiling at his cheerful antics.

“Fuck, Marry, Kill!”

“I beg your pardon?” Color climbed into her cheeks. “I don’t know that game.”

“Is easy,” he slurred. “You just gotta pick who you’d do what with.”

“I don’t think I’d do any of those things,” she demurred. “Why don’t I make you some coffee?”

“No! I wanna know! I’ll tell you mine,” he wheedled. “But you gotta keep it a secret.”

“Haru…”

“First!” He held up a finger, cutting her off. “I’d totally fuck Taiga. If he wouldn’t eat me, I mean.”

Macy slapped both hands over her mouth, eyes going wide in horror as she tried not to laugh. It was like a car accident; she couldn’t stop it, but she couldn’t look away either.

Haru’s head tilted thoughtfully. “Actually… I get bit by the animals all the time. I could handle a little chewing.”

A glass crashed to the floor, and Marisa choked on the snicker that escaped. “Really, Haru, I don’t want to hear this.”

“I suppose I’d have to marry Towa. He needs a provider. I’m a good provider,” the drunken zookeeper mused. A dreamy smile crossed his face. “But he’d really be a terrible wife, y’know?” Leaning close, he whispered at top volume, boozy breath making her eyes water. “Between the two of us, he’s kind of an airhead.”

“Oh, I don’t think…”

“Hmmmm…. I don’t really wanna kill anyone. Wait…. Maybe Hyde? He’s creepy.”

“I can’t really argue with that, but–”

“Oooh! Hey, you know what would be fun?” Haru slapped his hands on the bar, his face lighting up with a gleeful leer. “I wanna mess up Romi’s hair. Just get my hands all in there and–”

“And what?”

Macy looked between Romeo and Haru helplessly, her chest burning with the need to let out the laughter bubbling in her throat. Leaning on the bar, Romeo snapped his fingers in her direction. “My usual. Now, Harry, what were we talking about?”

“Hey! Romi. We're playing a game.”

“No, we are not doing anything!” Macy protested. “You, you are playing a game.”

“I like games,” Romeo purred, his predatory gaze moving between the two of them. “What game are we playing?”

“Fuck, Marry, Kill!” Haru chirped, blissfully unaware of the danger he was in. “Macy was going to go next.”

Throwing her hands up in protest, she shook her head violently, hair slapping her red cheeks. “No, no, no. I am not playing.”

“We should all play.” Edward dropped onto a stool beside Romeo and smiled lasciviously. “I’m very interested.”

Haru snort-giggled. “Ed wants to fuck and kill everyone.”

“Not everyone,” Edward protested softly. “I would let you live.”

Romeo shuddered visibly. “I’m too sober to think about this,” he declared. “Get me a drink, BB.” She nodded and poured, hurriedly passing it off and looking for an escape. Where was Rui when she needed to be rescued? She busied herself washing glasses and tried to ignore the conversation still going on at the other end of the bar.

“Absolutely not. You’d get frostbite on your dick!” Romeo’s disgusted declaration floated across the room. “But,” he said, his tone turning thoughtful. “It might be worth it.”

Edward’s laugh slipped through the room like smoke.

“Trust me. It is.”
