Confessional: Emma
“So, for the challenge, I got paired up with Scary Girl, which… for obvious reasons, I'm a bit concerned about. What if she turns on me mid challenge just because? But not to worry, if I play my cards right, I can convince her to help us win!”
—
Emma and Scary Girl travel side by side in the woods with their dart guns in hand. Scary Girl would be skipping happily, while Emma anxiously paces behind her. She begins to speak up to the purple haired maniac ahead of her.
“So… Scary Girl,” she starts, pausing when the other gives her a menacing stare. “...you got a plan? How will we win?”
Scary Girl looks off in thought, before eventually stopping in place and growing the most devilish smirk across her face. “I got just the thing,” she says, as she runs off maniacally laughing. Emma worriedly follows her.
When Emma catches up to Scary Girl, she finds the latter messing with a bunch of wood, leaves, and whatever else she can find nearby. It's not identifiable what she's really doing until Emma gets closer. She seems to be building something.
The closer Emma gets, the more she starts to recognize what Scary Girl is building. Scary Girl holds out a hand towards Emma behind her. “Give me your gun,” she demands. Emma does as told. Scary Girl then starts messing with hers.
Emma looks over at Scary Girl’s and is impressed by what she sees. Scary Girl puts the finishing touches on Emma’s before handing it back to her.
Scary Girl used the natural materials to make the guns bigger and better. The gun is extended with the wood materials, she also carved it so that instead of one dart hole, it has five, and the leaves were used for tightening and extra pull back on the darts.
Emma is amazed. She would've never guessed Scary Girl was innovative. “Wow, this is amazing,” she says. “Good job, Scary Girl.”
“My name is Lauren,” Lauren says, without the slightest hint of menace in her tone.
“Oh sorry,” Emma responds, before slowly processing Lauren's change in tone.
“Now, let's go cause some chaos,” Lauren shouts.
“Okay..,” Emma says hesitantly.
“First victim, Chase,” Lauren says.
Emma’s interest is piqued. “Oh, now that, I'm down with,” she says. The two run off to find said victim.
Confessional: Lauren
“I'm a girl of many tricks. It's only the many perks of being a pain enthusiast.”
Confessional: Emma
“You know, maybe I was worried for nothing. Lauren is actually pretty cool.”
Bonus: Lauren’s Elimination
Context: Emma and Lauren lose the challenge unfortunately, and Lauren is eliminated for the sole factor that her enthusiasm for pain is a point of concern for literally everyone else, especially after they witness what she and Emma do to Chase.
“A bunch of duds,” Lauren mumbles under her breath. “I'll make them wish they never voted me off.”
“Lauren, wait,” Emma shouts, running towards her. Lauren turns around to face her.
“If it makes you feel any better, I think everyone was quick to judge you,” Emma says. “You're really cool, and it was fun competing with you.” She holds her hand out for Lauren to shake.
Lauren is shocked, since this is the first time anyone's ever appreciated her this way. She shakes Emma’s hand, happy to have made a friend. “I'll be rooting for you,” Lauren says. “Drench everyone in blood and have no mercy.”
“On it,” Emma says. As the two split, Emma realizes she unexpectedly became friends with the last person she expected to. It's funny how that works.
