Work Text:
Izuku was on patrol with Katsuki, they were just talking and Katsuki was actually laughing with him too. It was a slow night, not much going on, not much hero-ing needed. It was kinda nice.
And then out of no where, danger sense went off. Izuku stopped walking, looking around, but he didn't know where the danger was coming from, it felt like it was surrounding him.
Katsuki noticed that he had stopped walking so he looked over to him and with the amount of time they spent to together, he immediately realized that danger sense had went off. "Deku, what's the danger?" He asked, and Izuku looked over to face him, distress covered his face at not knowing where the danger was coming from.
"I'm not sure..." Izuku replied carefully, looking away and turning in all directions, searching for the danger. "It feels like it's everywhere.. It's weird."
"Huh.." The blonde replied, starting to help look for the danger. Looking in all directions just like Izuku was. Neither of them saw anything. Katsuki didn't know what that could mean so he turned to face Izuku once again and asked, "You sure it wasn't just a fluke.?"
Izuku looked at him weird. He must be worried if he suggested something like that. His quirk wouldn't just act up like that. "Did you hit your head-" Izuku started to ask before he was cut off by something hard hitting the back of his head, and just like that, Izuku was on the ground, passed out.
The next thing he knew he was waking up on a cold hard floor. Izuku was real dizzy and he felt, what he could only assume was, blood dripping down his forehead. His hands were tied together by what he was guessing was rope and he tried to power up one for all to break out of it, but he was unable to use his quirk. It was then that the panic from the situation really started to hit him.
Where was he? Why was he bleeding? Was he alone? How did he get here? What was happening-
"Hello?" He heard a voice call out, he heard Katsuki's voice call out. "Anyone there?"
"Kacchan?" Izuku said, almost crying with relief at the boys voice. He had Katsuki here, everything was going to be fine if he had Katsuki here with him. "Do you know where we are? What happened?"
"I don't know where we are, Deku." Katsuki spoke, Izuku couldn't see him, but based on his voice he was guessing the blonde was somewhere behind him. "All I remember is being on patrol and then your danger sense went off, nothing after that."
"Huh,,, well, all I know is that my head hurts like hell...." Izuku said with a light laugh, his head pounding.
They both quieted as footsteps approached from somewhere out of Izuku's sight. "Well, It looks as if you two are awake."
"Who are you?" Katsuki growled at the voice.
"Oh," The voice spoke in response. "You know, just your good old villain." Izuku could hear the smirk in the villain's voice.
"What do you want from us?" Izuku asked.
"Entertainment." Was all the villain said, before elaborating. "So you see, life is such a bore. I want entertainment, real entertainment. So, I made myself entertainment. I take two people, I rather it be two people that are real close, and I give 1 of them a choice." The villain walked forward, Izuku could hear the steps being taken. "That choice is rather simple. They can either, 1, choose to kill the other person and be set free, or 2, they can kill themself and have the other be set free." Izuku tensed. Kill each other..? "So, I ask you, Bakugou Katsuki, who do you choose to die, you or him."
Izuku's eyes widened. No, no nonono NO. This was not going to happen. They were both going to get out and everything will be fine.
The villain sighed. "I get that no one ever wants to reply right away, but this is always the boring part." They walked back toward where they had came from. "I'll be back in 15 minutes, you better have a response by then or I'll just have to kill you both."
The footsteps faded, but neither boys said anything at all. They sat in silence for a good couple of minutes before Izuku couldn't take it any longer. "Kacchan,,, please p-"
"Don't." Katsuki snapped. "I know what you're going to say, but please, would you stop being such a self sacrificing asshole." Izuku quieted. "If, and only if, the heroes don't get here, which I highly doubt, I am not following the wishes of someone who can never think of themself."
"...Ka-..." Izuku didn't know what to say. He couldn't just let Katsuki go off and kill himself just to save him- wait... oh. He always did that, didn't he.? Izuku always ran off and almost got himself killed just to save somebody. The heroes better get here.
They sat in silence together for the rest of the time, Izuku praying the heroes got here while little quiet sobs come out against his will. Katsuki no doubt heard his cries, but he didn't say anything.
The heroes didn't arrive.
The villain came walking back in and Izuku's sobs quieted as she approached. "I'm guessing we've come to a decision!" They spoke with way too much enthusiasm. "So, what will it be Bakugou Katsuki, or should I call you 'Kacchan!'" The villain laughed and Izuku heard Katsuki let out a growl.
"Fucking just kill me." Katsuki said through what sounded like gritted teeth.
"Oh! How fun!" The villain said. "We love a noble sacrifice! But, I can't just kill you right now, it's not that simple you see!" They walked over and Izuku heard their foot steps getting closer to him. He tensed. "You'll have to do it while your oh so dear friend watches!" Izuku felt the villains hands touch his arms and he tried to move but the rope wasn't just around his wrists, but preventing any movement at all.
"Let me go, you bitch!" Izuku didn't swear often, but 'bitch' is one of the best words he can use to describe this person with other than psycho. They didn't let him go though and he was quickly propped up against the wall, finally able to see the room and Katsuki. Izuku could now also see the villain as they walked away from Izuku and moved toward Katsuki.
Katsuki didn't do anything but let out a noice of discontent as he was dragged to sit again the opposite wall.
Izuku and Katsuki locked eyes and all Izuku could do with the villain in the room was look at him with panic. "Kacchan. Please." Tears gathered in his eyes and he saw Katsuki's eyes get a little wet as well.
The villain then held a knife to Katsuki's throat. "Well, is there anything you would like to say before your fate is sealed with a slit your neck?" Katsuki turned away from looking at Izuku and he glared at the villain.
"Fuck you." Katsuki spat before looking back to Izuku, locking eyes once again. "I'm so sorry, Izuku."
The villain got a manic grin on their face as they recognized that as their time to go and they quickly brought the knife down onto Katsuki's neck and Izukiu cried as blood started spilling from his neck. He yelled out to the boy that's time was up and he. tried to escape the bindings, but the villain walked away from Katsuki and held Izuku against the wall. They brought the hilt of the knife up and brought it down onto Izuku's head, causing him to pass out yet again.
The next time Izuku woke up, he would be in a hospital room and he would sob hearing the news of Katsuki.
The next time he woke up, he would be a survivor, but Katsuki would not be.
