Sey doesn't know why he is watching Darin take photos with Thup and some stranger, but he doesn't like it.
Like… It shouldn't be this uncomfortable for him to watch, but it really is.
They're together, but something about the way this guy that Thup knows is standing close to Darin, something about the way they're sharing these shy smiles, is getting under his skin.
He's jealous, and he shouldn't be.
They've been together again for three months now.
Their anniversary was last night, and Sey had given Darin a homemade dinner, movie, and three different gifts. One was a piece of art he commissioned Thup for of Darin's favorite movie character.
Like, they're strong together, okay?
But Sey can't deny that he's glaring hardcore at the stranger as Darin's head tips back on a harsh laughter that shakes his entire form
"Are you really jealous?" asks Singha as he steps up next to Sey, smirk curving his lips like he knows something.
"Shut up," grumbles Sey as he shakes his head. "It's not like I want to be, okay? But look at how adorable Darin is when he laughs, and that guy is way too close to him! There should be an elbow-width of space between them! He doesn't have to lean that far over."
"Oh, you don't know who that is, do you?" Singha is chuckling now, like Sey's jealousy is amusing to him.
Which, in fairness, it probably is.
"Should I?" asks Sey as irritation settles across his skin like electric shocks.
"I guess not, but you've seen pictures. So, this is pretty hilarious," snorts Singha as Darin comes running over with a bright smile.
"Why do you look so grumpy, Sey? You had P'Thup's friend, Ja, feeling scared," huffs Darin as he pokes Sey in the forehead.
"Why does it matter if Ja was scared?" huffs Sey as he turns his head away from Singha and Darin.
"Because he was asking if we wanted to meet his fiancé! What were you glaring for?" asks Darin seriously as he steps back into his line of sight, a proper pout curving his lips.
"He's making you laugh, and he's way too close for no reason," grumbles Sey with an eye roll before he freezes, cheeks burning as Darin's words process. "Wait… Fiancé? Stranger guy is engaged?"
"And straight," adds Singha as he walks away.
"Asshole! You could've told me that!" hollers Sey in irritation at his back.
"Were you jealous?" asks Darin as his head tips to the side, his voice taking on an almost awe-filled tone.
"So what if I was? Huh? You're my boyfriend, and I love you. Why can't I be jealous?" asks Sey as he crosses his arms over his chest, irritated by the heat of his face.
"It's cute," replies Darin softly as he kisses his cheek.
Okay, he was jealous over nothing, but Darin thinks it's cute.
So, maybe it isn't all bad.
