Work Text:
Lisa and Jennie were getting ready for their date at a restaurant that Jihyo had recommended to them before, but they had never been able to go since they were so busy with their schedules. Today was their day off, so this was the only time they could go, and they wouldn’t miss a chance to have a date night with one another. They were excited and couldn’t wait to go on their date.
Lisa decided to wear casual clothing since they were just going out. She put on light makeup, perfume, and her Bvlgari watch. While checking herself in the mirror in the hallway, Jennie came out of their room looking cute in her casual outfit, also wearing light makeup and a necklace that Lisa had given her on their anniversary. “So, how do I look?” Jennie asked as she looked at Lisa. “You look great, Nini,” she replied, and Jennie smiled at her. “You look great as well, Lili,” Jennie told Lisa with a smile, and after that, they were ready to go out.
After checking each other out, they interacted with their pets and gave them their dinner before walking downstairs to go to their garage. “So, what car are we using for our date?” Jennie curiously asks Lisa, who was looking at one of her cars. Lisa then walked over to one of them. “How about we use the G-Wagon since we haven’t used it in a while?” Lisa suggests to Jennie, who thinks about it and then agrees, “Yeah, sure, let’s use it’” This was her reply to Lisa, who nods as she then gets the keys to the car. With that, they entered the car and headed out for their date night.
Before that, they first messaged Jihyo about the restaurant she recommended since they forgot where it was. Jihyo happily shared the location, and after chatting, they thanked her and started driving to the restaurant. When they arrived, they noted that the restaurant looked like a regular establishment, but it had classy vibes. They went to the reception to talk to the receptionist and asked if there was a VIP area, requesting to be placed there once it was confirmed. They chose that area as they didn’t want to be bothered or looked at by people who might recognize them, and then they were led by a waitress to the private room. As they walked inside, they noted that the interior looked good before entering the private area.
When they sat down, they were greeted by a waiter. “Hello, I’m Jang Yong-sun, and I’ll be your server for today,” he greeted them. Lisa noticed he was staring at Jennie but ignored it as he then gave them the menu. “Just call me when you order; I will be right here,” he said. Lisa couldn’t ignore the wink he gave to Jennie, who was now looking at her phone with an uninterested expression. She decided not to say anything, as she didn’t want to be rude, and began to check the menu with Jennie. After a few minutes, they called Yong-sun so they could order the food. While he explained the menu, Lisa watched how flirty he was acting towards Jennie when she asked questions, but he was professional towards Lisa whenever she asked. It was annoying, but she decided not to do anything, and after confirming the order, he left.
As he left the room, Lisa finally took a breath and started looking at her phone. “What’s wrong?” Jennie then spoke to Lisa with a bit of worry. Even though Lisa is good at hiding her emotions, she can’t hide them from Jennie, who can read her very well. “It’s nothing, don’t worry about it,” Lisa says, trying to reassure Jennie, who wanted to pry but decided to respect her decision and not say anything about it. Instead, she decided to talk about something else. After a few minutes, Yong-sun arrived with another server named Kim Daehyun to help him put the dishes on the table since the two had ordered lots of dishes as they wanted to try them.
Lisa watched as Yong-sun went over to where Jennie was sitting and attentively served her. After the food was on the table, the two left. “I hope you guys enjoy the food,” Yong-sun said with a bow while he stared at Jennie. “OK, let’s eat,” Jennie said as she took a bite of her food, and Lisa did the same. Both noted that the food they ordered was delicious and fed each other the food on their plates. Seeing Jennie being so attentive and clingy towards her made Lisa stop the feeling of jealousy she had for a moment as she enjoyed her special time with her girlfriend and continued talking about everything they hadn’t said and about their work.
They were able to finish the dishes as they were very delicious. They thought about coming here when they both had free schedules and decided to call back Yong-sun and Daehyun, who returned to take the dishes. They also called in another server for the bill, who was named Park Beom-Sok. Jennie was about to pay, but Lisa beat her to it and showed her card to pay for their meals. After she paid, Yong-sun spoke, “So, how did you find the meals, miss?” He asked in a flirtatious tone. Lisa started walking over to them to speak, but Jennie spoke first, “My girlfriend and I loved the food, right babe?” she said as she looked over to Lisa with a smile.
Hearing that made Lisa feel pleased to see Yong-sun’s surprised expression when Jennie said those words. When she got over to Jennie, she wrapped her arm around her waist and looked at her with a soft smile. “Yeah, babe, I agree with you, and compliments to the chef,” Lisa then said as she stared at him. “Oh, uh, yeah, I’ll tell him that. Thank you for visiting our fine establishment,” Yong-sun then said as the two left and walked to their car. “It’s still early, but where do you want to go next?” was Lisa’s question to Jennie. “Why don’t we go to the Han River and walk like we used to?” Jennie suggested to Lisa, who agreed, as they hadn’t gone there in a while.
When they arrived at the Han River, they started walking like old times and stared at the beautiful night sky. “This was nice,” Lisa told Jennie, who nodded. “You know, it was funny to see his reaction when I told him we’re dating,” Jennie then mentioned to Lisa, who laughed. “Yeah, it was funny,” she responded. “Were you bothered by it?” was Jennie’s next question, and Lisa nodded. “I was bothered because I didn’t like how he kept flirting with you whenever he made an appearance, and I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to make a scene,” Lisa explained to Jennie. “I noticed his behavior as well; that’s why I mentioned we were dating, and I liked the way you put your arm around my waist,” Jennie then said. “Well, I’ve been wanting to do that for a while because of him, but I found my chance, and the way he looked scared made it funnier,” Lisa recalled. “Well, you were glaring at him,” Jennie pointed out, and they both laughed.
After walking near the Han River for a while, they decided to go back to the car to drive home. Then, Jennie received a text from Jihyo about the restaurant, and Jennie decided to tell her everything. Seeing her reply made her chuckle. “What’s wrong?” was Lisa’s question. “I was texting Jihyo about our experience, and apparently, our server is known to flirt with female customers to either get good tips, their numbers, or sleep with them,” Jennie revealed to Lisa, who was not shocked since he did have that kind of vibe. “She encountered him when she went with her friends, who already knew that restaurant,” Jennie started explaining. “He apparently tried flirting with her too, but Jihyo just ignored him and only spoke to him if she needed to and she said that she thought it was funny to see him give up and flirt with her other friends instead,” Jennie then said, finishing what Jihyo told her, a piece of information that made Lisa snicker.
When they got home, they both sat on the couch to rest and interacted with their pets before cleaning up and going to their bedroom. When they lay down, Jennie looked at Lisa. “I enjoyed our date,” she said to Lisa, who agreed. “Me too, and I hope we can go on one again on our next break,” Lisa then said to Jennie, who agreed. They then started sleeping, as they had to get up and get ready for tomorrow, when they would return to their idol lives. Even so, they were glad that they had time to be together, and they would treasure it as a memory they’ll remember. They can’t wait for the next time they have a break to be together.
