Work Text:

Harry Potter found himself in a sticky situation when he signed up for S.H.I.E.L.D. I wanted to get away for awhile but this is ridiculous He grip the door handle with both hands trying to force his way out eyeing his unconscious partner, Natasha Romanov.

Great Harry, just great, trying to impress the most important assassin in S.H.I.E.L.D. His inner consciousness grumbled.

Harry glanced down to make sure Natasha was doing ok and he was thinking, How did I mess up this meet cute? I’m sure I am way out of her league and oh why didn’t I think of this before? You’re a wizard, Harry!

Bombarda! Harry pointed his wand at the door and it was a no go. “Damn, magical proof as well?” He scratched his head and started to worry when he spied magical writing appearing on the doorway.

Harry also wondered if Natasha shared affection with him. He sighed thinking back on all the moments they could have kissed if they hadn't been interrupted.

He got back on track on studying the magical writing when Natasha started stirring, making little moaning noises waking up feeling her body creek.

“Harry, what's the situation?” She stood up and felt his arm supporting her waist.

“Well it's like this you know I am a wizard and this spells out we got to confess our feelings or show our feelings to one another if we want to get out. And I can not contact Hermione without communication whatsoever from my iphone.” Harry explained and showed his Iphone to Natasha who was staring at a blank screen.

“Damn, we really are in a predicament then.” Natasha smirked at her partner before kissing him warmly.

Harry’s eyes widened, surprised at Natasha’s move and deepened the kiss.

They heard a soft click, Natasha reached for the doorknob to jiggle it and it wouldn’t bulge.

“Shit, there has to be another way.” Natasha frowned as she yanked on the door feeling claustrophobic in the small room.

“Natasha calm down, I think you are brilliant! And can handle any situation with a cool head. And I have feelings for you.” Harry blurted out the last statement unexpectedly and heard another click.

“That’s it! You have to respond back to what I said about you.” Harry urges Natasha to pull her hands away from the locked door.

Natasha sighed and ran her fingers through her reddish short locks, “Harry the short time I have known you I felt this connection. Something inside me tells me that we are more than partners. I would like to explore that with you if you’re willing.”

They heard the final click and the door opened. “Yes it worked!” Harry exclaimed excitedly as they hurried out of the room.

Once out they heard someone clapping and went to inspect the source of the noise.

Natasha blinked, “Stephen, Hermione, was this your doing?”

Harry looked at Stephen and Hermione for answers as they were calmly sipping on their tea. Wong came up from behind them, “It was my idea and the two if you needed a little push.”

“It was a test then?” Harry asked, trying not to sound a bit deflated and hope Natasha wasn’t mad at him or them.

“In a way, yes, come join us to complete your magical training.” Stephen asked them both, placing his teacup down.

“Me? I have no…” Natasha’s voice drifted off as Wong handed her a sling ring.

“Everyone of us has magic inside. Please just try.” Hermione implored Natasha.

Harry watched amused at how Natasha started to concentrate on the sling ring and the three of them saw a spark of magic.
