"Astro.. this is amazing! I mean.. a jelly doughnut with a dinosaur drawing stamped onto it.. how did you think of this?" Shelly uttered. "Heh, I-It was a custom order, just for you shells.." Astro replied. He truly loves this fossil to death. Astro takes out another doughnut, this one for himself. He stammers, trying to figure put what to say next.
"Its okay Astro! We can just enjoy this silence.." Shelly says, despite breaking the silence. He gives her one doughnut, before taking the other one. Astro inches his doughnut closer to Shellys. "Cheers.." "Cheers!" They bump doughnuts.
Cosmo continues to mix the batter "And then.. eh?" He notices Astro, staring off into space. "Astro! Pay attentionn.." He said, slightly frustrated.
"Shelly!" Astro exclaimed, before bitting his tongue. "Yes, Astro? Whats wrong?" Shelly replied confused. "N-Nothing.." Vee also gives Astro a look "You good?" "Yes."
"Shells, wanna bake cookies after Cosmo teaches us?" Vee said, directing her attention to Shelly "Oh, sure! We might need his assistance though..." They both laugh about what Shelly said, even Cosmo. Astro just stares, he's never felt this before. Is it jealousy? Envy? Either one, it overly confuses him. He gets up and leaves, without any of them noticing.
Astro sits down in the hallway, alone with his thoughts. He just wonders. Why? Why him? Why does he care about Shelly so much. Well he cares about all of his friends, but Shelly... Shes different. He cares about her more, more than he can care about himself. But all he can do is sulk, Shelly likes Vee, and Vee likes Shelly. He lies on the ground, tired, everything he's done for Shelly. All gone to waste. And with that, Astro falls asleep.
