Hikaru knew something was off with Kaoru they were twins after all. Kaoru seemed well. Sad? No that wasn't it. He was more...zoned out? Kaoru just hadn't been himself and when your as close as you with him like Hikaru you get worried. Hikaru loved his brother and him hurting hurt him too. Hikaru tried to recall when this started. Was it...oh.
You see Hikaru had recently gotten with his beloved Haruhi and after that Kaorus behavior became more noticeable. He stopped wanting to engage in any group activitys, his grades were slipping, he had night terrors, but most noticeably he wouldn't stop day dreaming. Kaoru would constantly focus on a certain object and just think away while mumbling incoherent things. Hikaru caught on quickly and tried to get Kaoru back to his happy cute normal self but nothing would work! It was worrisome but reached new levels when he found Kaoru crying in their bathroom at night. He wouldn't talk about it and Hikaru respected that choice though deep inside he was extremely worried for his brother.

"Kaoru you there!? Wakey wakey!!" Hikaru practically screeched as he shook Kaoru. God his brother could be so annoying could he not tell he was deep in thought!? Hikaru could just not stop prying into his business could he? Kaoru knew he meant well but Kaoru could not bare to tell his brother anything. Hikaru was trying to get through to him by talking, messages, hell he even tried gifts but Kaoru would not give in. How could he tell his brother that he is upset that Haruhi likes Hikaru and not him!? Kaoru didn't want to hurt his brother because he knew that him and Haruhi were together and good for each other but that didn't stop it from hurting.
"I'm awake Hikaru. What do you want?" Kaoru sighed as he looked up at Hikaru. Wait a second...Hikaru had THAT look in his eyes. That look meant his brother was up to something which was most likely stupid. Today was gonna be hard Kaoru just knew it.

Hikaru had a plan. Last night when his brother was asleep he was silently observing Kaoru. Hikaru had grew even more worried over the days so he decided he was going to figure out that night and well he did. While Kaoru was sleeping he noticed he was mumbling something softly so as one does Hikaru leaned in to listen and to his surprise he heard his name. "Hikaru...its not fair..I want someone too...Haruhi.."
It was rather shocking to Hikaru that his brother had feelings for his girlfriend and was this upset over it. Hikaru was at first mad that Kaoru wanted his Haruhi but that anger slowly dissolved into understanding and quiet pity. He knew that pretty much all the host members like Haruhi at some point but after him and Haruhi made it official it died down. Or so he thought. It pained Hikaru even more due to the fact Kaoru was the one to set him up with Haruhi in the first place. Kaoru was the one that motivated him to go after Haruhi and without him they wouldn't be together. Hikaru knew his brother had a hard time getting close to people so it was surprising when Haruhi first came and Kaoru so quickly warmed up to her. Hikaru was also aware that his brother was a homosexual and that made it even harder for Kaoru to find a partner. Gosh this was gonna be hard but this plan just might work.
Hikaru recalled on Halloween his brother seemed flustered, the kind he gets when he sees someone he likes. Hikaru knew this look far to well and would normally tease Kaoru about it. With some digging and help with Kyoya he found out that the only other person Kaoru had been around outside of the club was the student council president Kazukiyo Soga. This plan was genuis!! All Hikaru had to do was get Kaoru and Kazukiyo together! Easy! Right..?
