Work Text:
Cold hands brushed his skin. Long, slender fingers curled at his cheek, a thumb pressed softly at his bottom lip. In a slight, deliberate motion, that pale limb parted them. Longing red eyes pinned Gray in place. An unknown tightness crept its way in the pit of his stomach.
Not an inch of him moved at his will, seeing as Donald mapped his face. Carefully studying, searching for any give. A change in his partner’s mannerism. Something to tell him no. To stop him before he commits to something they can’t turn from.
Not finding any trace of rejection, Donald leaned in, caressing the other's chin.
The closer he came, the more Gray felt his heated breath. Smoky, yet oddly alluring. Less than an inch away, Donald paused. His gaze narrow, soft, an uneasy pressure flipping his nerves. Heart racing against his sternum, threatening to crack a bone or two.
Eternity crept up, Gray as a statue and Donald frozen. Neither making a move. Neither daring to close that gap. But like a magnet, the two connect. An unseen force stuck the two together. Quick and short lived.
Jumping back, the teens stared at one another. Watching, waiting, wanting more but both unwilling to give in again.
Sitting side by side admiring the full moon. Donald laid down, resting a hand to the back of his head. He closed his eyes and licked his lips, taking in the peachy flavor of chapstick. Mesmerized, Donald attempted to control himself.
Gray trailed his gaze to the blond. Tracing his mind to a book he read not too long ago on couples and kissing, he wanted to put that knowledge into practice.
Gray hovered over Donald, determined, needing that connection again. “It’s just a kiss.” He whispered to himself, closing the distance.
Simple and innocent. This, their, now, second kiss with each other. With anyone to be honest. Clumsy lips moved, parting. Teeth clacking into each other. Incidental bites, uneven pants break way amidst them. Parting only when Donald pushed on Gray’s shoulders.
Deep blushes cover their skin. Heavy breathing coming between them. Gray shifted his weight to the side, laying beside the other. Bringing a trembling hand up to touch his lips, he couldn’t help the strong taste of cigarettes along his tongue. Never knowing that he’d like it.
The two laid there, basking in the moment. Intertwining their hands, once more venturing back to the starry night sky.
