Snow Bird in a Snow Storm

Summary:

When Rituals are cancelled due to snow, Storm struggles to sleep. He's not the only one affected by the weather outside, and a late night guest needs his help.

Notes:

This is a cute little fic inspired by the clip of Aurora and Storm at bows, and the sadly cancelled Rituals. It's just very late to being posted when either of those things happened. I blame life =p

Work Text:

Storm grumbled to himself as the knocking at his hotel room door continued. He had just managed to fall asleep before the persistent interruption of his uneasy rest. The winter storm swirling outside doing him no favors. A pressure building within, wanting to let loose.

None of the ghouls had been happy about the cancellation news. But Storm had been particularly upset. With the extreme weather messing with his element he could have used the opportunity to let loose. However, the risk for the fans and human crew had been far too great to ignore. As much as they had tried to, up until the authorities told them they had to cancel.

It had left a simmering need under his skin. One that could not be controlled. Almost all day- before the storm had hit- he had paced the halls. Feeling caged. Stifled. Restricted. His fellow ghouls had playfully fought with him around lunchtime to help regulate his element to a low simmer of energy. Then the storm had hit around the hotel and the relief was immense. At least at first when he could pretend it was happening at his command and whims. Eventually the ache in his bones and tingling under his skin returned.

Contemplation interrupted by more rapid knocks. Continuing without pause now. Accepting that the knocking would not stop until he opened the door, Storm stumbled out of bed. Ripping open the door, prepared to verbally rip into whoever woke him up.

Only to be met with some sort of blanket monster. It looked like a pile of every blanket not currently in any occupied room. Of which there were several, they had been the only ones to check into the hotel due to the predicted bad weather.

So at his door was a pile of blankets with arms. Fine. Storm could deal with whatever this was and attempt to go back to sleep again.

The cushion of fabric only allowed a shadow of a headbutt into his chest to be felt. Whoever was underneath seeking something from him.

A quiet whimper of, "cold" enlightened Storm as to his guest.

Aurora.

The band's poor multi ghoulette who had explained to him once that her partial air affinity affected her severely. Hollow bones that made her lighter than a feather, her love of collecting trinkets, and more importantly her inability to handle the cold.

It explained the mountain of blankets covering her.

She needed to nest.

For a short moment Storm wondered why she had sought him out. The rest of the pack was likely huddled together in pairs or clusters. Had she not been able to find them? The thoughts passed rapidly through his head, quickly forgotten in favor of focusing on warming her up.

Lifting her up into his arms, blanket pile and all. Throwing her onto the rumpled sheets from his own tossing and turning. Uncovering her was difficult. She clung to each blanket ferociously, but Storm knew that he needed to rearrange them for better warmth.

Once freed from her hastily made cocoon her trembling body was revealed to him. Covered in thin sleep pants and a silky shirt that allowed further evidence of her chilled state to be seen. Averting his eyes with a blush to rummage through his belongings. Finding the sweatpants and sweatshirt he wanted. The sweatshirt decorated with Stormcloud in purple embroidery. It had been a gift from Aurora herself.

In a smooth motion he slid the sweatpants overtop of her own sleep pants. And with her limited assistance wrangled the sweatshirt over her head. As she slowly figured out the sleeves Storm began to rearrange the blankets into a proper, warm nest.

Thinnest blankets around the edges of the bed, the rumpled sheets left on the bed as they were. Arranging the thicker blankets so that he could pile them on top of them.

Climbing into bed beside Aurora, pulling her into his arms. As she nuzzled into him, he began to bundle the two of them in the thicker blankets. Folding the ends under them to further conserve the heat. Knowing from his experience in the cooler areas of the pit that it was surprisingly effective.

Pleasant sighs of contentment paired with gentle squeezes started from the tiny ghoulette after a few minutes. Storm could already feel that she was warming up nicely. Huffing at the shocking touch of her still frozen fingers on the bare skin of his stomach as she snuck them under his loose oversized t-shirt. Unable to retaliate as his hands were warm against her back as they reached the cooler skin.

The little chirp of need she let out forcing an answering rumble from his chest. It was tempting to warm her up that way, but he knew it was more of a desire for warmth than true pleasure. Storm would want her when she was able to enthusiastically beg with flushed, hot skin. Still. He could not deny her gentle touches. Rubbing playful patterns into her skin. A mix of flowers and hearts drawn by his fingers against her skin. Friction helping to generate more heat.

Aurora let out a purr as she moved to nibble at his neck. Leaving tiny marks to claim him as her personal heater. Once satisfied that no ghoul would dare try to take him from her, she burrowed down under the blankets. Only the tip of her head peaking out.

Storms breath caught when her shuffling moved his hand somewhere intimate. Her soft, plush breasts almost cupped in his large hands. Whimpering pathetically at how right, how nice, it felt. Forcing his hands away as they twitched to squeeze and kneed at her. Settling for playing softly with her hair. Trying to ignore the twisting need swirling in his core. Aurora may not be the one to beg in the end…

He would be a perfect gentle-ghoul tonight. He. Would.

But tomorrow when she was warm and content he would ask if he could ravish her. Or if she could ravish him. He wasn't picky.

So long as she was warm and recovered he would do anything she wanted.
