Tenma tsukasa lived in a small town, a small town with strange history…odd rumours…rumours about the street cats.
They say the street cats are unlike normal cats, they’re tricksters..they’ll curse you!! The adults tell you to stay away, or else.
But Tsukasa didn’t believe those silly rumours infact, cats were his favourite animal- all though they didn’t seem to like him that much.
Everytime he’d encounter a stray he tryed his damnedest to befriend it. He’d even give them food!! But all he got back was hisses and five new scratches…but he never gave up!!
“Pst pst pst…hey kitty kitty….” He crouched down to a stray after school one day. Outstretching his hand to the cat in a beckoning motion.
The cat let out a low hiss with its ears back.
“Argh, c’mon!!” He whined.
“Whats the matter?” A voice ‘purred’ (pun intended haw-haw) from behind him.
“Ah! Rui..” tsukasa turned his head, looking up at his childhood friend, kamishiro rui.
Rui and tsukasa had been friends since middle school, tsukasa being the annoying extroverted loud type while rui being more reserved but mischievous and playful.
“Oh, you’re talking to the cats again…” rui chuckled softly putting his hand up to his mouth (like…the thing he does in game…mhm…).
“Yeah…” tsukasa sighed in defeat.
“Hi kittyy” rui crouched down beside tsukasa and put his hand out to the angry cat.
The cat happily meowed back in response, its demeanour completely changing within mere seconds.
The cat walked over to rui’s hand, rubbing its head on it while purring.
“Ahh???!!!” Tsukasa shouted in disbelief as rui petted the cats head.
Rui just laughed in response.
“Ruii you can’t just laugh at that!! How come the cats like you so much?? Teach me your waysss!!!” Tsukasa turned to rui with his hands clasped together (lol).
“Hmm..let’s see…” rui pretended to ponder for a second.
“I’d say just be nice to them” he teased with a sly smile while looking back at tsukasa.
Tsukasa stared blankly at him with a ‘are you serious?’ face which caused rui to burst into laughter, making the cat bite his finger before to run away from the sudden noise.
“Ouch…” rui wiped his finger on his pants as he watched the cat run away.
“Ha!!” Tsukasa huffed defiantly.
{ walking home from school together }
“I really don’t understand why cats don’t like me….” Tsukasa sulked, walking with his head down.
“There there..” rui patted tsukasa’s back while trying not to laugh (rui I’m watching the stream why you trying not to laugh bruh that’s disrespectful as shit bruh- get the refrence…).
Eventually, they reached rui’s house (which was closer than tsukasa’s you get it) and then said their goodbyes.
{ later that night }
Tsukasa was sitting in his room while doing homework when his phone rang.
“Tenma Tsukasa speaking!!” He exclaimed.
“Uh Tsukasa…it’s rui…” the voice on the other end muttered, rui sounded nervous and a bit off.
“Oh rui, is everything alright?” Tsukasa asked, getting a bit worried.
“Can…can you come over..?”
