Davey meets Austin under a flickering streetlamp, evening cool and gentle. Austin offers his jacket; Davey pretends to refuse, then accepts, smiling. They walk nowhere in particular, bumping shoulders, trading stories. A passing cat approves, brushing their legs. Austin laughs, open and bright, and Davey feels lighter for it. They stop, hands finding each other naturally. When they part, it’s with lingering promises made softly, already kept and remembered for life. Tomorrow can wait; tonight's hums are shared between a couple.
