Jurassic Park: Apex Mutants

Summary:

After John Hammond’s death and the catastrophic failure of Jurassic Park, his unfinished plans to expand the park into Europe and Japan were officially dismissed—or so the world believed. Behind closed doors, Japanese investors grew tired of waiting. Working in secrecy, they completed Jurassic Park Japan, which opened its doors to the public in September.

Elizabeth Grant, the fifteen-year-old daughter of Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler, travels to Japan for her birthday. Defying her parents’ wishes, she sneaks into Jurassic Park Japan.

Meanwhile, Brooklynn, sets her sights on stopping Jurassic Park Europe before it can open. Alongside Kenji and Darius, she infiltrates InGen’s operations, uncovering evidence that the company is experimenting with mutant apex predators—creatures designed not just to survive, but to dominate.

At the same time, Biosyn makes its move. The corporation dispatches covert teams to Isla Muerta, aiming to capture and transport the mutants to Jurassic Park Japan, where they plan to showcase controlled “evolution” as entertainment. Yaz and Ben race against time to sabotage the operation, knowing that if even one mutant reaches the mainland, extinction-level consequences could follow.

Work Text:

Elizabeth Grant popped the flavor circles on the back of her cigarette and sat on the edge of the roof of her house, legs swinging over the verge like she didn't care if she slipped. She lit the cigarette and inhaled, staring up at the sky, a pterodactyl flought by so hard it made her hair swing.

Elizabeth exhaled slowly.

Fifteen.

Fifteen and her parents still treated her like she was made of glass and fossil dust.

Inside, she could hear her dad moving around the kitchen, cabinets opening, closing. Probably making tea. He did that when stressed. Nobody said "Jurassic" out loud in this house anymore.

News articles said Jurassic Park Japan wasn't related to the original park. New investors. New management. New science.

Her parents called that bullshit.

Her dad especially.

At the end of the day, dinosaurs had the InGen patent, the only way to avoid it would make the dinosaurs so genetically different it woulf pass the law. But that would cause dinos that have never walked on earth before.

Her phone buzzed. A text from Danyela.

If you sneak into that park you HAVE to send pics

Elizabeth smiled despite herself.

She typed back:

Relax. I'm just going to Japan. Not committing corporate espionage.

Probably.

Elizabeth looked out over the dark trees, imagining neon lights, ocean air, and something big moving just out of sight behind steel fences.

Just long enough to wonder what her last normal month was going to feel like.

Brooklyn started a Vlog on YouTube again, when she reached adulthood, her influencer era died along ger teenage self, but she realized she could share her adventures and spread Biosyn hate, warn about trained killer dinosaurs or crabs or wathever those flying shits were.
