"WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?!" Taash roared as they sprinted towards the group emerging from the Vi'Revas.
Emmrich and Neve were dragging a barely conscious Rook through, blood dripping from her head.
"She pushed me out of the way from an oncoming attack and she tripped, hitting her head. Hard." Belllara rushed out.
"I'm fine. I…I just hit my head." She was mumbled out.
"You are NOT fine!" Emmrich snapped. "Taash, help us bring her to the infirmary."

Once in the infirmary, Emmrich wasted no time in administering aid. Cleaned her wound and bandaged her head. The challenge? keeping her awake.
"Rook, you must try and stay conscious."
"My head hurts." She tried to sit up but Emmrich placed a hand on her should, gently pushing her back down.
"I know. You must lay still but you can not fall asleep. Not yet." She groaned with a mix of pain and frustration.
"Varric, is he like this with you?" Emmrich cocked a brow and turned to face the far side of the room. Varrics memorial sat untouched.
He surmised her hit to the head was harder than he assumed. A soft airy sigh brought his attention back to her. Eyes closed and for a moment it appeared she wasn't breathing.
"ROOK! Open your eyes. Please you must stay awake." Her eyes fluttered, barely open as he could tell she was fighting a futile battle.
"I…Just want to sleep." She slurred out.
"I know, dear but you can't. Not for at least another hour." She locked eyes with him, her eyes glossy and unfocused.
"Come closer please." Emmrich leaned down turning his head away from her so his ear was closer. Suddenly he felt her lips peck his cheek. His face grew hot as he snapped his head back towards her, eyes closed once again.
"Rook, please. I need you to stay awake. Stay with me, please." The only response was her softly breathing in and out. He sighed heavily, stood to his full height and began waving his hands. Green tendrils of magic oozed from his fingers until a thin blanket covered her. "I shall remain vigilant as you rest. I do not believe my heart could with stand if you slipped away in your sleep."
Emmrich stood by her bed, watched as her chest rose and fell with even breath. Only yesterday did they confirm the flirtatious air between them was mutual. However, he was enraptured by her long before. Her strong will to keep fighting and protecting those around her even at the cost of her own body. It was one of the many aspects of her he loved.
"Hey." Rooks voice was barely a whisper. "Don't tell…Emmrich I… kissed you. I like him and you…smell like….him."
Emmrich chuckled softly planting his own kiss to her forehead
