Dark enchantress cookie was flying around the top of the shelves of her library.
Her new wings, while still feeling unfamiliar to her body, were helping her travel across her grand library much easier.
She stop at one of the shelves and picks out a book about draconic magic and runes, which she has been studying for the past 14 hours.
Then glides back down and starts making her way to her chambers.
She has yet to notice w much time has passed from when she started studying.
It's a trait she kept from when her and White lily cookie were still one of the same.
When she had finally reached her chambers she opened her door and went to her desk, not noticing a cookie dressed in red garnments sitting on the edge of her bed.
It was her dear lover, Pomegranate cookie, who looked up from her mirror to watch her lover, Dark enchantress cookie, continue studying like she had been the entire day.
Pomegranate debated with herself a bit to stop her lover from continueing and making her take a break...
Or let Dark enchantress cookie continue her constant study and just wait untill she exhausts herself to the point she has to stop.
Pomegranate cookie decided on the first option.
More due to the fact that her lover's body was changed and Pomegranate cookie was trying to prevent damage to it than, rather having her beloved be hit with the karma of her own actions, but nevertheless.
Pomegranate cookie did, however, question how she should approuch her lover.
While Dark enchantress cookie would never intentionally harm her lover, but her claws are still sharp as knives and her new body only made her more powerful and dangerous.
Eh, but why should Pomegranate cookie corncern herself with that?
She can just heal herself if she does get hurt.
So Pomegranate cookie just gets off the bed and walks to the desk where her beloved is sitting.
It isn't helping the "Jumpscare" part that she has natuarly quit footsteps that almost no one can hear(Affogato cookie, her best friend, was the only one of the COD that could hear them sometimes).
Appearing behind her lover, Pomegranate cookie layed her hand on Dark enchantress cookie's shoulder.
In turn Dark enchantress cookie jumped up out of suprise and immidiatly summoned and pointed her staff right at the neck of whoever was behind her.
The moment Dark enchantress cookie realized it was her beloved she un-summoned her staff .
"My love, you must be carefull. We are both aware of how dangerous i can be, i do not wish to harm you." Dark enchantress cookie said with concern.
"Yet you are rather... okay with getting hurt yourself, love" Pomegranate cookie anwsered with a hint of concern in her voice.
"Well i enjoy pain, yet you don't and i do not wih to cause any unnescesarry pain to you, my dearest." Dark enchantress cookie anwsered
"... I feel like i should be more concerned, or it's just my fault for falling in love with a masochist who has a... tendency to forget to take care of herself." Pomegranate cookie said with a mix of concern and worry
"My love i can reassure you, i can take care of myself..." Dark enchantress cookied protested
"You've been studying for 14 hours! That is not normal." Pomegrante cookie said, clearly annoyed
"there is no way it has been THAT long, i would've noticed by now wouldn't i?"
"Alright then, I'll let you do the math. When did you start studying then?" Pomegranate cookie said cunningly
"I don't know for certain, around 6AM i believe"
"My love, it's 10PM." Pomegranate just said bluntly
"..." Dark enchantress cookie had to think for a second for a response due to being taken aback by the time she ahd been studying.
"My beloved pomegranate cookie, i am immortal, i do not require rest..."
"I too am immortal, my beloved. Affogato cookie is also immortal. Immortality is no excuse to not take care of yourself properly. Now come on let's go to bed." Pomegranate cookie said while walking over to the bed.
Dark enchantress cookie just stood still for a second, not knowing how to respond.
"Right, Pomegranate cookie is 214 years old."
Dark enchantress cookie thought.
It took all of the COD(Except for Affogato cookie, who is 215 and Pomegranate cookie grew up with) by suprise when she first mentioned her true age after calling red Velvet cookie "little boy" while he is 108 years old, even though the COD members(except for Affogato cookie) assumed/thought Pomegrante was in her mid- late 30s.
"My beloved i can reassure you, i'll be fine. i have studied for much longer without breaks in the past..." Dark enchantress cookie said whileopening the book she retrieved earlier.
Pomegrante cookie decided to grab her lover by the arm from behind and pulled her towards the bed taking dark enchantress cookie to almost trip over her own dress.
"Hey!-"
"And my beloved, how did that "Studying" end for you?"
Pomegranate cookie cut Dark enchantress cookie off, while sitting back on the bed.
Dark enchantress cookie reclaimed her composure after almost falling ont he floor.
"... I don't think i follow." dark enchantress cookie finally anwsered.
Pomegranate cookie got up from the bed again and let out a small sigh.
She walked over to her lover, picked her up and carried her to the bed, layed her down and then sat back down on the other side.
"I mean, did studying for multiple days on end ever go well for you?" Pomegranate cookie said.
Dark enchantress cookie didn't reply and merely sat up on the bed.
"Well, in the past ususally somebody else stopped me and if others would let me do my studying in peace i would just... go to failure, i suppose." Dark enchantress cookie just looked at her lover before continueing
"They all had their own way of making me get some rest. Elder faerie cookie, Dark cacao cookie and Hollyberry cookie would always just pick me up and ensure i take a break and take some amount of care of me. Pure vanilla cookie would just try to convince me to take a break if he wasn't helping me with research. Golden cheese cookie would just hug me tightly enough so i couldn't escape but not too tight so i wouldn't suffocate and then just wait for me to fall asleep, which tended to take a while given my insomnia."
"And if they didn't stop you?"
"Well, they would bring me different types of food and water or other drinks... not like i would eat or drink anything but it was a nice gesture, i suppose." Dark enchantress cookie said.
Pomegranate cookie looked at her lovingly, layed a bit closer to her lover and kissed her on the lips
"And this is how i intend to make you get rest." Pomegranate cookie said before taking off her lover's crown and putting it on her own nighstand and kissing her.
She then got off the bed and cast a simple spell to change from her normal robes to her sleeping robes.
Which was simply a light pink dress with some darker pink at the bottom in flame like pattern.
Pomegranate cookie then lifted up the blanket on the bed and layed under it.
"Now are we gonna sleep or do i need to cast a sleeping spell on you?" Pomegranate cookie asked playfully.
Dark enchantress cookie also got out of bed and cast the same spell as Pomegranate cookie to change into a black dress with fire patterns(Imagine it how you may, i don't care i ain't writing that) with Black gloves.
Her neck isn't covered by her sleeping garments, revealing a large scar across her troath.
She had refused to explain it to Pomegranate cookie or anybody, really, about how she had obtained it.
"How about you first tell me what i missed today concidering i have been studying for... that long." Dark enchantress cookie said.
She then also layed under the blanket next to pomegranate cookie.
"Well..." Pomegranate cookie started trying to think of anything out of the ordinairy that happend that day.
"Nothing really special, concidering you didn't give any orders in the morning, so everybody just did what they would usually do. Red velvet cookie went to the tower of sweet chaos. matcha cookie, Butter rol cookie and their little assistants(the dought trio) went to the labratorium. Schwärzwalder, Licorice cookie and bat-cat baby-sat Chess choco cookie and Poison mushroom cookie. And me and Affogate cookei looked after Agar Agar cookie the entire day, so despite some rumours nothing special happend."
Dark Enchantress cookie decided to hug her lover with Pomegranate cookie hugging her back.
"So what afre these rumours?" dark enchantress cookie asked while she wrapped her wings around her lover's body.
"Well i heard that one of the fearie guards, Silverbell cookie, is dating the beast of deceit's minion Black Sapphire cookie." Pomegrante cookie said.
"Isn't Black Sapphire cookie Affogato cookie's twin brother?" Dark enchantress cookie asked.
"Indeed they are, my beloved." Pomegranate cookie awnsered.
"Well then, it will most likely be rather amusing seeing them fight while in love, the drama of when one or the other inevitably betrays their leader to be with their lover. Such a beautifly tragic love story." dark enchantress cookie said.
Pomegranate cookie looked mildly suprised
"I didn't know you read romance." she said
"I don't. I suppose my brain is just a bit lovey-dovey around you, my beloved." dark enchantress cookie explained lovingly.
Pomegranate cookie kissed dark enchantress cookie on the lips, Dark enchantress cookie kissed her back and they went at a back and forth of this untill they were both tounging eachother.
Pomegrante cookie eventually pulled away and said "I feel like we should go to bed now, it's late m'lady."
"Very well." Dark enchnatress cookie replied, resting her head on her lover's.
After 10 minutes Pomegranate cookie fell asleep while Dark enchantress just watched her lover sleep untill she herself fell asleep.
