It was pouring rain over the land, the roaring thunder echoing throughout the field. Ellie had been wandering aimlessly for some time now. Initially she was going out to pick some flowers and find new things to make into a dress of sorts, but the storm interrupted that. Ellie quickly tried to find cover from the rain but kept getting twisted and turned around from the path. She kept running until she found the forest, inside was a small little cave. She dashed to the entrance for shelter. Freezing, but happy to be out of the rain, Ellie got comfy and soon fell fast asleep, dreaming of flowers and bees dancing about. She woke up a bit sore, after all rocks aren't the most comfortable thing to sleep on. She then combed out her hair ridding it of any stray leaves and whatnot.
"Gosh, I forgot which direction I was going in... *sigh* I'll have to figure which way home is later. First, I need to eat!"
And with that she stood up and analyzed the forest. She tried to see if there were any fruit bushes, but those that were there definitely weren't for consumption. Then, she heard it. Something gurgling from behind her. Ellie turned around to see what the noise was and it her surprise she saw two sparkling eyes looking at her with curiosity. Ellie was a bit startled, she didn't know someone else was here!
"H- hi...!" The girl spoke, though it sounded a bit bubbly probably due to her being a water'fwa. (get it cause like Mei'fwa! :D)
"Oh! Hello!" Ellie responded to the girl. The water'fwa smiled at Ellie and giggled a bit. Ellie's stomach was filled with butterflies, 'what a cute giggle' she thought to herself.
"M- my names Waverly.. y- you are?"
"Ellie! The name's Ellie!" Ellie said sheepishly trying to hide her blushing face.
"What a beautiful name!" Waverly said. The water'fwa began to stand up out of the water. No longer only sticking her head out of the water. Once Ellie saw her get up, it was over. She was enamored by her. Her eyes were so unbelievably gorgeous, her hair so flowy, her smile- breathtaking.
Ellie had never felt like this for anyone before.
"So uh, what are you doing around here?" The water'fwa asked. She'd seen other forest 'fwa's but had never seen a flower or earthy 'fwa before.
"Ah! Well, I was going around the fields to find some flowers for a project I'm working on! As you can tell though, my plans got dampened- hah get it DAM-PENED? Cause it rained and now my clothes are damp?" She giggled to herself.
(This DEFINITELY isn't me projecting my stupid puns- no never! Why would u think that? LMAO)
Waverly looked unamused, but on the inside, she was dying due to the cringeyness of that pun. She cleared her throat and tried to change the subject.
"Project eh? W-what kind of project?" She said stuttering a bit.
"Well I'm a dress maker, and I usually add floral decor to my dresses. Whether that be the earrings or maybe the little accents of the dress." Ellie replied digging in her pouch for something.
"See?" Ellie said while holding a flower out in front of her for Waverly to see.
The flower was very pretty, the pink blended beautifully with the yellow in the center making it look like an ombre effect.
"That's s- gorgeous!" Waverly said reaching out for the flower.
When she grabbed it she caught Ellie's eyes. The flower and Ellie's face both shared the same shade of pink on them. Waverly didn't feel like pointing it out though, not wanting to embarrass Ellie. She put the flower in her hair and danced around the pond, enjoying the new accessory.
"You know.... I could make you a dress with that flower- ONLY IF YOU'D LIKE THO- YOU DON'T HAVE TO-" Ellie said a bit shakily, she felt a rush of blood go to her face making it beet red.
Waverly's heart skipped a beat. 'Ellie... making a dress for... ME!!!!!????'
That made her heart soar over the moon and then land right back.
"I'd l-love that!!!!!" Waverly said, hoping she didn't sound too desperate.
Ellie smiled and nodded her head, "well then, it's settled! Would you like to come over to my place? That way we can measure you and make sure it fits!"
"Oh um, sure!" Waverly said getting out of the pond and removing any dirt or whatever from the pond on her.
The two go off into the forest and try to find their way to Ellies
