"A train?" Ladybug asks, keeping the phone pressed to his ear with his shoulder. "Maria, I'm not getting on a train."
"It's a snatch and grab job. You'll be off and on in ten minutes, tops." Maria insists. "It's easy."
"Last time you said that, I got stabbed, and shot, and bitten by a venomous snake, and the train crashed!" He digs through the dufflebag he just took from a gym locker. "I told you, never again."
"It's good for you to face the- the things you're scared of."
"Do not start using Barry's words against me." He mutters as he pulls a bottle of sleeping powder out of the bag. Why do they still let him have this? More importantly, why does he keep requesting it? He's stuck in a tosic cycle here. "And I'm not scared of trains. I'm just adverse to them due to negative past experiences."
"What's the likelihood of all that happening to you again?" Maria asks.
"With my luck? Pretty high." He sighs and stops rummaging through the dufflebag. "Please don't make me get on a train."
"Look." Maria sighs back. "Over a dozen people died on that train, but you survived. If that's not luck, I don't know what is."
Ladybug considers for a moment. "Alright. I'll try the train. But I want you to be waiting at the station for me so you can pick me up right away."
"Of course." Maria says. "I'm not driving all the way out to the middle of Japan again."
