Regulus Corneas the Bishop of Charity
Regulus Corneas, the Bishop of Charity, was a kind and hardworking man who always respected the rights of those around him and always made sure others remembered their rights no matter the situation as a part of the Virtue Church. Some people may say that he talks too much, but he simply wishes people to understand their rights so that they don't get mistreated or taken advantage of. He also went around countries taking in women who have been mistreated by those around them, teaching them the ways of the Virtue Church, and live together as one big happy family who support each other in the toughest of times.
One day, he receieved word from Pandora, the Saint of Humility, that Petelgeuse has been taken hostage along with the other residents of Elinor Forest by the evil mother and daughter, Fortuna and Emilia. They were demanding the church 50 Holy Dragon coins for the release of each individual and 100 Holy Dragon coins for the safety of Petelgeuse. Truly, their greed knows no bounds. Hearing the situation of his fellow Bishop, Regulus is determined to go with Pandora to save Petelgeuse along with the residents at Elinor Forest. As he arrived at the forest with Pandora, he sees Fortuna and Emilia along with the residents and Petelgeuse inside cages with their hands and legs chained. Seeing this brought great sadness and anger within Regulus and Pandora, but they don't wish to resort to violence, and instead try to reason with them.
"Please release the hostages at once! They don't deserve to be treated like this!" Regulus cried out. However, Fortuna and Emilia wouldn't listen to reason and kept being stubborn about the money for each individual. Seeing how lives were at stake, the Virtue Church had no other option than to comply with their demands and pay for each the hostages. Once they collected enough money, they returned to Elinor Forest to pay for the hostages, after receiveing the money for the hostages, Fortuna said that the prices for each of the hostages have now doubled. This left Regulus and Pandora devastated and pleaded for her to release the hostages, hoping that there was still a shred of good in her. In response to this, Fortuna got tired of hearing them plead for their conscience and decided to kill all the hostages whilst Emilia mocked them.
Fortunately, their pet, the Healthy Serpent, had a bad feeling about the negotiations and followed Regulus and Pandora to Elinor Forest in case things went wrong. Seeing how Fortuna was planning to kill the hostages, the Healthy Serpent moved quickly to distract Fortuna and Emilia before they could kill the hostages. Thankful of the opportunity, Regulus and Pandora wasted no time in freeing the hostages. However, Regulus was struck by an icicle by Emilia whilst his guard was down, it truly broke his heart how a child turned out like this. Seeing how Regulus was injured, Pandora sent him back to his home, so he can be tended to by his friends, he was frustrated at his own carelessness for allowing himself to get hit and not being able to finish saving the hostages.
A few days later, Pandora visited his home to inform him of the events that happened after he was sent away. She informed him of saving Petelgeuse and take down the evil Fortuna, but wasn't able to save the hostages because of Emilia freezing them and herself along with the forest, leaving her only able to save Petelgeuse and the Healthy Serpent. Pandora, Regulus, and Petelgeuse prayed for the inhabitants of the forest, Fortuna, and Emilia, hoping they find salvation. What a tragedy that happened, will the inhabitants get unfrozen? Will Emilia learn of the error of her ways?
