The forest scenery was beautiful, calm, and quiet. The trees whipped and crashed, creating a rhythm of noise.
I walked through it with my partner, Azure. He was quite quiet himself, taking note of every plant we came across; possibly to see if he’d spot anything new.
I turned my head towards him, looking at his face I could see the tiredness in his eyes.
Sighing I turned my head back towards the path, suddenly stopping; Azure was slightly ahead of me but had stopped when I did.
They look towards me, head tilting slightly, confused.
I huffed then took a couple steps towards Azure, placing my hand on their face.
“Azure, my dear, I notice your tired eyes. May we head back and rest?”
Azure stood there for a bit before nodding his head and combining their hands with mine.
Walking back, the clouds seemed it to be time for rain to pour down onto us.
