A Frightful occurrence

Summary:

A girl finds a...surprise while enjoying a new event.

Alternatively

Springtrap X Reader fanfic that somehow turned into a Springtrap & OC third person POV.

Notes:

This is my second fic that I'll be posting, and I'm so excited! I haven't been practicing my writing skills very much, so I apologize in advance for any spelling errors. (If you spot any I would be very glad if you pointed it out, thanks!) Also, the title is a W.I.P so expect it to change at least once. Suggestions are greatly appreciated!

(Edit: I just realized that I have been spelling "Fright" as "Freight"...like a train. *Facepalm emoji* I fixed everything, but if you read this before the fix I am so sorry for the disgraceful writing your eyes have had the displeasure of reading. I WILL do better in the future)

Chapter 1: Hello...goodbye

Chapter Text

Sarah had been invited to be with some small group at the new Fazbear Frights event. She isn’t friends with anybody involved, but there was no harm in tagging along…right? The event was basically a haunted house based off of the old Freddy’s Pizzeria locations. Sarah imagined that the event was for nostalgic adults—Freddy’s had been closed for twenty years, after all--and little children who hadn’t been able to visit the magical land of animatronics that scared the crap out of people not accustomed to the technology of the time.

On Friday night, Sarah drove to the event. There was a huge car crash on the way, so instead of getting there in thirty minutes, she got there in one hour. When she pulled up, a huge sign greeted her. It was a black board with blinding green LED lights reading “Enter If You Dare!”
“Hey, Sarah!” A girl yelled from across the lot. Startled, Sarah gasped. How could she so easily forget somebody’s name? Especially when she had been so kind as to include her.
“Hey!” The girl ran over.
“Hey!” she waved, as if making sure Sarah wasn’t looking through her.
“Sarah? Are you alright?” She snapped her fingers and Sarah flinched.
“Sorry. I was just…thinking.”
“Okay, well the rest of the group is waiting for you!” The girl smiled warmly in such a way only an old friend could smile.
“Oh, they are?” Sarah blinked hard.
“Of course silly!” The girl somehow smiled harder. How could she possibly smile harder?

The girl guided Sarah over to a small patch of grass in the huge parking lot. Kids were running around with sparklers, as if it was Fourth of July.
“Sarah! Girl, where have you been?” A guy wearing bright blue jeans and a grey tanktop. He had long, black hair that almost reached his waist.
Uhh…there was traffic?” Sarah could practically feel the eyes on her.
“Well anyways, we should get to the introductions!” The guy smiles just as brightly as the other girl had.
“I’m Alexei!” He shakes Sarah’s hand.
“Hey, stop hogging her up!” A girl with a spikey choker and a huge septum— which looks so painful that Sarah grimaced when the lady was talking.
“Hey, it’s nice to meet you! I’m Carson.” Instead of offering a hand to shake, she shot finger guns in Sarah’s direction with a click of her mouth.

All of a sudden Carson, Alexei, and the girl —who Sarah had yet to remember the name of— went quiet. Although little kids everywhere had been screaming in delight over the cheap thrills of the event. A full minute passed before somebody had tried to start another conversation.
“Let’s just go inside.” Carson suggested.
