“C’mon in.”
Peering into the room, amber eyes seemed to dart across his office before taking a tentative step forwards. Shutting the door behind him ever so politely. And with a final click from the door, the intruder sighed the sound echoing through the room the tension clearly melting from the blonde. Like the hesitancy was a facade to any prying eyes - which it was - but it was always amusing to see how far the blonde would take this little ruse.
“Xia Fei.”
Amber eyes met his own, soft and oh so innocent. “Yes?”
“Come here. " He gestured to the chair across.
“Okay.”
Xia Fei was cute in the way a stumbling fawn was cute, it was soft and innocent. Like a character from a fairy tale, often led astray by the big bad wolf and though he wouldn’t compare himself to a fictional character, it often felt like he was leading the poor boy astray. However, it often seemed to be willingly, the boy laying down in his metaphorical jaws awaiting true and utter consumption. And so the boy was cute in his naivety. Like the wolf wouldn’t clamp down as soon as possible, digging its claim into the fawn, like the simple matter of the circle of life didn’t apply to it.
And yet, the boy was cute in regards to his intellect, with the borderline ditzy facade Xia Fei wore as a model it was easy to forget the fact that the model graduated from an applied physics program. The boy surely was smart academically, though in other aspects the boy struggled. For what other reason would a fawn willingly enter a wolves den.
All in all, Xia Fei was entertaining to say the least.
“What brings you here?”
The boy flushed, ears tinging pink. “Wanted to see you.”
“To see me?" He grinned, leaning against his hand. "Why how very forward Xia Fei.”
The other wouldn’t meet his eyes again, fidgeting in embarrassment.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. I’m pleased you came to see me now.”
Pink tinted blonde’s cheeks. It made him look tasty, like a sweet dessert that needed savouring. He licked his lips, mindlessly remembering the boy’s taste and the sweet cries that reminded him of melted chocolate with the way he melted against him.
“It’s not like that.”
He smirked. “Isn’t it? My precious baobei wants a treat right?”
Xia Fei flushed even more, the blush creeping down his neck, a faint dusting across the tips of his ears. “No.”
“Well.” He shrugged. “I guess you’re lucky then. I have a meeting soon.”
It was just a second, maybe even a trick of the light but he could’ve sworn he saw a flicker of disappointment in those amber eyes.
“Okay.” Xia Fei wasn’t even trying to hide the disappointment in his voice, as the blonde turned away, the sweet flush across his cheeks receding.
“Don’t worry, you’ll get a sweet treat later.”
The flush came back in full force, the implication flustering the fawn that was Xia Fei.
“Don’t say it like that!”
“Like what Xia Fei? Like you’re something to be devoured by me, something to be wholly consumed and left wanting more?”
“Laoban!” The blonde looked like he was burning, the reddened flush coating his entire body, eyes not quite meeting his own in a silly attempt of annoyance.
"I'm joking." The for now went unsaid between the two, but Xia Fei knew exactly what he meant. "Anyway, you should get back to your job now, don't want everyone else thinking you get special treatment."
The blonde laughed awkwardly, eyes slowly raking over him. "Yeah... yeah I'll do that."
The door slowly closed behind the blonde as he 'snuck' out of his office. A willing fawn knowingly teasing the wolf, knowing it was going to be punished later.
