The cool air was a kind relief for the princess of Gooberia, she had just gotten out of an important diplomatic meeting with a foreign kingdom and it was stuffy. The meeting had been a success, supposedly at least. They hadn’t gone to war and the wheat trade was to continue as usual, though everyone in the room could feel the tension between the kingdoms. Chloe forgot how many times she wanted to scream at the top of her lungs at Emperor Clark, though she was able to hold her tongue for the most part. Of course King Elsie had left Chloe the responsibility to be diplomatic with the emperor, said it would be a good ‘learning experience’…
Chloe leaned against the cold stone railing of the castle balcony, looking out upon the dazzling royal gardens spread beneath her as she let out a weary sigh. She wondered what the knights were up to, probably doing something incredibly unprofessional but she couldn’t care less. The princess wore a long, sleek blue dress (with many many pockets and built in shorts ofc) with a rose gold crown nestled gently in her auburn hair.
Speaking of the devils, both Sir Maya and Sir Amélie soon approached from the mahogany doors that opened up onto the terrace.
Upon spotting the lone princess, Amelie gave Maya a smug little look, seemingly saying ‘I’m going to go scare the living fuck out of her’ to which Maya responded with a silent ‘Hell yeah!!’.
With careful steps and sneaky moves, Amelie snuck up behind Chloe, but before he could do anything Maya sniggered, causing Chloe to look around. Nonetheless, Amelie tried to save the failed sneak attack by still shouting “BOO!!”
Somehow, despite Chloe seeing them, she still jumped at the scare. Maya let out a small laugh while Amelie grinned smugly.
“Amelie!!!” Chloe gasped, turning to face the duo, “You scared meee :(“
“Hi Chloeee,” Amelie grinned, “But sorry, sorry, it would have been a perfect prank if someone hadn’t decided to laugh before I got close enough.” He glanced accusingly at Maya who blew him a raspberry in return.
“Well I’m sorry you looked like a cartoon villain when you did that!” Maya retorted. The two knights leaned against the railing next to Chloe and they started talking about some random shit, the topics changed too quickly for anyone other than them to understand and their laughter reverberated against the cold stone walls of the castle behind them as the sun slowly began to set, showering them in warm light.

Meanwhile, on a boat not too far from the coast, three hooligans who love pretending they’re rulers spoke loudly about what only Brother Anna knows. The high priestess cackled as they came up with another move for their stupid little dance. Taylor Swift and Girl In Red played softly in the background as chatter filled the large deck. At some point, they realised they had been missing for over 12 hours and that King Elsie had left Chloé to oversee the meeting with Emperor Clark. Fearing the worst, the sailed home at lightning speeds, only to find one very tired princess and two dumbass knights sleeping on the sofa.
