Work Text:

The green grass
The golden Sun with him
The flowers scattered around the field
Just the two of them

The wind was not harsh
A light breeze
The sky was blue
No storms in sight

Time spent
Together

They forgot their worries
But that was a later regret
As they passed the discus
Back
And
Forth

The Wind changed
Direction
As well as intent
Once love
To obsession
Turned to jealousy

The later regret
As one collapsed
Hitting the ground

Time did not flash before his eyes
Or begin to slow

The Sun rushed to his side
But beside him
The Sun observed
That the grass that was stained with red

He stayed with him
And held his love in his arms
And regretted
That he had not moved quicker
Or made an attempt to heal

His blood stained
The grass
The Sun's hands as he held him

But from it
Became a flower
To represent their love
That could not last

Named from the Sun's lover
But that would never make up
For the pain the Wind caused

But the Sun knew
He had to accept
That he was gone
And they were never meant
To last

The Fates would reach them eventually
And they were never meant
To last

Notes:
