QUESTION: Does anyone else have the same soulmate experience?
I know that everyone’s soulmate presentations differ, and that there are more common methods out there – like the ones who can’t see colour until they meet their soulmate, or the ones that develop a mark when they first touch their soulmates. But… I’ve never heard of someone with an original experience.
Rare, sure. My sister has this thing where her hair colour would change based on her soulmate’s moods (which is ironic because her job kind of involves hair). It was rare but funny enough, I have a friend in the same industry who had the same experience.
I’m wondering if there is anyone that has experienced something no other soulmate pairing has – because I think my soulmate and I have.
For context, I (M29) met my soulmate (M29) back when we were 15 and ever since then, we have the same dreams. As in, we are literally in the same dream, together.
At first, it was terrifying because we didn’t know how to control our dreams. The regular dreams were cute – wholesome, even. Coffee dates, exploring new countries together and fighting monsters in Hogwarts. I think it helped us bond a lot faster since we were suddenly in each other’s personal dream spaces.
We learnt a lot about each other – he learnt that I got lured into following a stranger into a building for a job with the promise of ice cream, and I learned he almost killed someone with his clarinet once. It was love at first sight (dream?).
But… the nightmares were wild. Once, we had a dream where we had to outrun a clown chasing us with a knife. It was during that one phase where killer clowns were all over the internet. I think we had a Slenderman dream too.
Over the years (and after some therapy), we learnt how to control our dreams. Now, we can pick and choose what our dreamscape will be. It’s quite fun. Whenever we crave a specific Italian dish or miss a country we’ve been to, we try to go there in our dream. Though, we’re both quite a pair of workaholics so we do take advantage of it to continue working (sometimes) (most of the time) (half of the time?) I mean, an occasional nightmare comes by (usually during a stressful time in our life) but it’s manageable.
We’ve heard of couples with a mind link, but a dream link? Does anyone have the same thing? I like to think that we’re special, but my partner thinks that someone out there probably has the same thing.

PLEASE I’ve always told my partner that he should make a song about our story but nOooOO it’d be “too on the nose” BUT WE’RE SO CUTE !! He has written songs about love, and about dreams but not our story >:(

actually i have a friend who has something like that? it isn’t really a dream link, but they can see bits of each other’s future in each other’s dreams

Oh! Actually, we have friends that do too! They’re both from China (we live in Korea) and that was how they figured out that a part of their life would be in Korea. So, when they were given the opportunity to come here, they took it and the rest is history!! Though, they said that they don’t get vivid experiences in their dreams so it isn't quite like me and my baby :(

Really? You guys have – what can only be described as – a super power and you decide to… continue working? You either really love your jobs, or are deeply traumatized by it.

Both! It's actually really cool because (since it’s a dream) we can do some unrealistic things. Like dance without gravity, or create an orchestra with every instrument imaginable. And… sometimes… it’s a little embarrassing to admit… but… it’s pretty cool to perform with some of your favorite idols in your dreams…

THEORY: Idol lurking on r/soulmates
Okay… This might be a wild stretch, but I think there’s an idol who posted about his soulmate experience on r/soulmates (this post on dream swapping).
Retired or older idols like to talk about their soulmate experiences, but active idols rarely talk about it (unless their presentation happened in public or their bond shows in a way that can’t be hidden).
And I knoooow that soulmate theories on here are pretty ridiculous and far-fetched – but I’m SO SO SO sure I remember a PLEDIS trainee talking about using their dreams to create choreography.
I KNOW. IT’S SUCH A STRETCH. But… maybe?
Okay, it isn’t just that. But they did say that their work involves music and dance, and they live in Korea…
I wish I could find the recording but I can’t be bothered to go through hours and hours of old footage – and even then, I might not find it since it was on a livestream that probably wasn’t even uploaded. IF ANYONE REMEMBERS PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

pledis? good LUCK. svt and tws LOVE giving out soulmate red herrings. remember when svt BAITED us into thinking that they had matching soulbonds but it turns out it was just a matching tattoo? like, we were SO sure it was a bond until mingyu posted a video of him getting it. and tws had the whole ‘we can hear each other’ thing too.
