“What is thisss?”
The dragon asked. Both cookies were in the balcony of Hollyberry’s room. She offered to them a heart shaped chocolate.
“It’s a chocolate! You don’t know what is a chocolate or?”
“I know! It’s jussst looks ridiculous in that pinkish envelope”
Pitaya said with narrow eyes confused by the candy.
It was Valentine’s Day in the Hollyberry kingdom, a place known by their passion and love traditions, followed with their tropical climates.
Every cookie was in the streets enjoying the company with friends or their loved one, having dates or simply taking a stroll around the pink decorated streets, it was something beautiful to see.
But our greenish dragon didn’t seem to like it at all, it was childish seeing lots of pink and cute plushies with flowers, all together in one.
“Valentines it’s for enjoying time and giving gifts to our loved ones, like friends! I consider you one of my friends, that’s why I’m giving you this!”
The queen commented, happily extending her arm with the chocolate in hand to the dragon; Pitaya Dragon Cookie without option grabs the little heart with grumpy expression and eat it.
Their expression changed completely when the sweetness of the candy arrived to their tongue, Hollyberry cookie in other hand smiled and chuckled by the dragon’s reaction.
“Hohoho lizard, you’re supposed to takeoff the chocolate envelope first!”
“I don’t care! It tastes good with it! It givesss flavor”
Hollyberry laughed heartily by their commentary and this makes them smile proudly by their act.
“Tonight it will be a party in the castle to celebrate today with my friends, I want to introduce you to them!”
The pink haired queen commented to the dragon excitedly looking at them, but this wasn’t at the same direction as her.
“I’m sorry but I’ll pass, I don’t like mingling with cookiesss—ordinary onesss—and I don’t really enjoy thisss celebration”
The dragon refused in a confident tone.
“Aww it’s okay! Maybe next year, you should really get out more frequently of your nest lizard…”
“HOW many timesss I have to tell you that I DON’T like that-“
Hollyberry Cookie interrupts them placing another heart in their mouth. They eat it and their expression changed completely again, now they could enjoy the sweetness of the candy without the weird taste of an envelope.
“Actually… without envelope tastesss good… There’s more of that?”

Days later, Pitaya woke up from their slumber, remembering that day—just for the chocolates—and then, vaguely reminded the words of their cookie friend.
“Valentines it’s for enjoying time and giving gifts to our loved ones, like friends”
Friends…
Then Pitaya realized they didn’t gifted something to her, a pang hits them more because they realized she gave them lots of chocolates, more than they could admit. They had to remedy this faster.
“HOLLYBERRY COOKIE, SSSHOW YOURSSELF!!”
They shouted loudly on their dragon form to the balcony of hers. She woke up and tiredly arrives at the door trying to open it while she tries to open her eyes properly, with Pitaya shouting her name until she showed up.
“Pitaya, what happened-“
Hollyberry stood and looked at Pitaya with a boat—that they didn’t totally stole—full of flowers and berries from a merchant ship.
“You know, I want to thank you the chocolatesss from that day with thisss, here, have it”
Pitaya commented and then slipped the boat to Hollyberry’s room. The queen looks at the boat inside her room and Pitaya shocked at the same time.
“Pitaya, you shouldn’t-“
“But I have to! It’s not something that cookiesss do?”
Minutes later, while the maids were placing the boat on a random part of the castle, both cookies were on the table having breakfast (she invited them to).
“I’m sssorry, I jussst wanted to give you something for being my friend, in my defense: I don’t know the celebration at all…”
Hollyberry smiles warmly by their apology and then chuckled.
“It’s okay lizard, i appreciate the effort! It was a good start by the way”
“Really?”
Hollyberry chuckled and looks at them with warmth.
“Yes Pitaya, it is”
The day finished with two cookies sharing some chocolates with each other, while some merchantmen cookies questioned themselves about their missing boat.
