It’d been a long day. He—They were Toxic Crusaders now.
Bender lay awake on the top bunk. Snores surrounded him in the darkness of the reefer car. A particularly loud one came from beside him, and he turned his head toward the source.
Headbanger’s other half.
They’d both been side sleepers. Sleeping on their back—backs—was their only option henceforth.
I can’t sleep on my back, dude! Fender had complained. Look at that idiot snoring away now. Bender envied his ability to adapt so quickly.
He felt the sensation of Fender’s fingers twitching.
Hopefully sleep would come soon.
